Recently, an unlikely supporter took the floor, defended Markle, and questioned the reason why the media blamed the former actress so quickly. The ally is none other than the former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

It is known that the media around the world seem to have a problem with Markle. It is unclear whether the problem stems from the aversion of the British public to the fact that an American married his English prince, or her previous occupation, or the fact that she was previously married. What is clear is that she does not seem to take a break, with new negative stories that hit the tabloids every day.

Yet a very striking proponent of Meghan Markle has a different theory about the reason for all the hatred she receives. Clinton recently sat down for an intimate interview, where she revealed that she is one of the celebrities with Markle’s back. The former Secretary of State claimed that the way Markle has been treated is “inexplicable,” and that she believes that race “certainly” is part of the reason for the attack of negativity that Meghan Markle receives.

Clinton’s daughter, Chelsea Clinton, also spoke during the interview and stated that she believes that the strong voice of Duchess Meghan for activism is also part of it. Both Clinton women expressed their support for Meghan Markle and made it clear that they do not support the war that the press appears to be waging the Duchess of Sussex.

Could Meghan Markle meet up with Hillary Clinton?

Some fans are beginning to speculate that Markle will reach Clinton and thank her for her support. However, this seems unlikely, if only because Markle is supposed to remain politically neutral as a member of the royal family.

Achieving a polarizing political figure can be seen as a statement in Britain. After all, during President Trump’s summer 2019 trip to England, Meghan Markle was severely criticized for not taking the time to go on maternity leave to meet him.

Yet Markle may be able to send a handwritten note or make a private phone call to Clinton – just because it seems as if real gestures of friendship seem to become increasingly rare in the duchess’s world.
