Britney Spears is taking some time for itself this week.
The singer is said to have taken herself to a wellness facility to take care of herself in the midst of her father’s recovery from his ruptured colon.
A source told people that the singer will receive “comprehensive wellness treatments” at the facility.
“Britney only needed to focus on himself,” another source said to the outlet. “Her father who is sick has taken a toll on her. He almost died and had a new operation a few weeks ago. He is not doing well. They are so close and it has been a lot. There is nothing dramatic about her – she just realized that she has to make sure she takes the time to take care of herself. “
Yesterday Spears announced on Instagram that she was taking some time for me.
What happened to Spears’ dad?
In January, Spears took over social media to announce that she was canceling her Domination Las Vegas residence to take care of her father.
“I don’t even know where to start with this because it’s so hard for me to say,” she tweeted, along with a picture of her as a child with her parents. “I will not perform my new show Domination. I have been looking forward to this show and see you all this year, so this will break my heart.”
She went on to describe why she made the decision she made.
“However, it is important to always place your family first … and that is the decision I had to make,” she wrote. “A few months ago my father was admitted to hospital and almost died. We are all so grateful that he came out alive, but he still has a long way to go for him.”
She sent her fans where they could get refunds for their tickets and thanked them for their continued support.
“I appreciate your prayers and support for my family today,” she concluded. “Thanks, and love you all … always.”
Spears’ recent tours
The Domination Las Vegas residence was to start in February at the Park Theater in Park MGM.
This was the continuation of her previous Britney: Piece of Me residency and tour which, according to the People, had an increase of more than $ 100 million until January 2017.
Fans reactions to the tour cancellation
Although fans were angry that they would not see their star perform, many sent their condolences.
“Hey B, I lost my dad a few weeks ago and want you to know that he and I went to your show together and that he loved it,” wrote a fan. “Thanks for this reminder! Take all the time you need, your fans will be here when you are ready to return to the stage. Send love!”
Others confirmed the singer’s decision to release.
“You will NEVER regret the time you need to take care of your father,” wrote another person. “It is frustrating, sometimes difficult to navigate through the medical circus, but at the same time rewarding. Don’t apologize for your decision!”
Many were quick to offer the prayers and support of the star.
“I am sorry to hear what your father’s condition is, let’s pray and hope his recovery will go well soon,” tweeted one user. “Family is everything, so take your time. Nothing else matters. Sending you a lot of love and power.”
