TLC’s My 600-Lb Life follows the incredible weight-loss journeys of morbidly obese people hoping to change their lives with the help of the show’s resident surgeon, Dr. Now. One memorable story featured on the reality series is that of Schenee Murry, who appeared on the show’s sixth season. According to The Cinemaholic, Schenee Murry weighed about 712 pounds when she first appeared on the show, making her one of the heaviest “My 600-Lb Life” contestants ever. After a routine health check, it was also revealed that his BMI was five times higher than the average healthy BMI. After failing to meet the initial goals set by Dr. Now, he later ended up in hospital and managed to lose around 91 kilos.
According to TV Showcase, Schenee Murry had struggled with her weight from an early age, and her traumatic past meant she found it difficult to follow Dr. Now’s plan properly. During Schenee Murry’s last weigh-in on the show, it was revealed that she had actually gained 43 kilos and stopped avoiding any contact with Dr. Now soon after.

After her appearance on the reality show, Schenee Murry started a GoFundMe page to raise money for future weight loss operations.
According to The Cinemaholic, the former My 600-Lb Life contestant also spent most of 2019 in and out of the hospital, suffering from various health issues. In January 2019, an update on Murry’s weight came in a YouTube video, in which she claimed to have managed to lose almost 250 pounds. In another YouTube video uploaded in October 2019, Schenee Murry also claimed to have lost almost 300 pounds and twerked in a clip to celebrate. However, many are questioning her weight loss claims.
According to Starcasm, Schenee has so far opted not to appear on TLC’s My 600-Lb Life spin-off “Where Are They Now?“, in which former contestants give fans an insight into their weight-loss journey.
