Why Viewers of ‘The Pioneer Woman’ Think Ree Drummond Is Dishonest About Her Wealth

The Food Network offers a host of notable star chefs that we all know and appreciate, and Ree Drummond has become a favorite over the years. The Pioneer woman was first known for her blog with the same title as her show. Once she got a serious follower, her crowd of exploded as she began to share her recipes, stories about farm life and stories about raising four children in Oklahoma on her food program.

With her show, her blog and her thriving businesses in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, Ree has undoubtedly been very successful over the years. Some of her viewers seem to think that she is not as honest about her social status as she should be. This is what they have claimed.

Ree Drummond is a multimillionaire and seemingly grew up wealthy, too

When we think of Ree Drummond, we think of the picturesque countryside, a simple life on a farm and a humble upbringing – but it seems that this might just be the perfect illusion that the Pioneer woman created. Ree has already spoken extensively about her dreams of moving to the big city as a youth. She grew up in Oklahoma, where she now lives with her husband and four children, but before meeting Ladd Drummond, she had big plans to move to Chicago and never return to the country. According to her, however, it was love that kept her in her home state, and then she became the “casual country girl.”

It is now reported that Ree’s net assets are somewhere between $ 50 million. Not only does she earn a lot of money from her food show and blog, but she also receives millions of dollars from the government for using her 433,000 hectares of land to help protect wildlife. And before her fame, The New Yorker notes that she grew up in the prosperous town of Bartlesville, where her father was an orthopedic surgeon and her mother was a mother who was at home. If there is something that Ree has always known, there seems to be money.

Some of her viewers think she purposely downplays her wealth to seem relatable

We all love watching someone we can connect with, and Ree tries to make herself accessible to the public with her TV persona. She cooks with ingredients that anyone can find in their local grocery store, and her meals are never overly expensive (even if she could afford it). Unfortunately, it does not seem that all viewers appreciate how she apparently defeats her wealth. And many have even accused her of acting unfairly for it.

As a Reddit user commented: “What disturbs me most about PW is that it is the embodiment of capitalism. In fact, it has a completely false persona and presents itself as one of us – a trusted friend – just because of s * ** to sell to people. “On a different thread, another of her previous fans said:” I was saved in the time they built The Lodge and it became obvious that they were loaded and not just a normal farm family. “

Others are defending the way she portrays herself to the public, however

Ree Drummond may not come out and announces how much money she has on TV, but many defend her decision to stay mum over her income. Another Reddit user said, “I personally have no problem with Ree. I suspected from the first moment I read PW that she had money and it was confirmed when she blogged about her marriage and posted a photo.” The same user also added admitted that she “found a brand” that she could easily sell to others and made a profit from it, with which nothing is intentionally wrong. Another question, “what is wrong with her to make her own career, to do things that she likes and that does well enough to be successful?”

It doesn’t matter what hatred Ree can get, it looks like she’s not going anywhere fast. And her city of Pawhuska seems to love her because her businesses are doing well and have boosted the local economy.
