Judging by the numbers of the cash registers, everyone and their mother (or should we say daughter?) Loved the 2017 Wonder Woman movie. Included in that group is the 3-year-old daughter of Zooey Deschanel, Elsie. So, when the 39-year-old 500 Days of Summer star needs a little convincing help from Elsie, she looks at Diana Prince.
PureWow spoke exclusively with Deschanel about her new Come As You Are campaign for Crocs (the LiteRide Pacer Crocs is her favorite), and she opened up about how rocking with Crocs has made juggling motherhood and a thriving career a little easier. (Comfort is the key, people.) But they are not the only tool in her arsenal. Deschanel admitted: “I use Wonder Woman to my advantage.”
Deschanel further explained that when Elsie is not in the mood for broccoli or something that children do not naturally lean towards, the mother pulls a What-Would-Wonder-Woman-Do. Spoiler alert: it works like a charm.
“I always have to stay ahead of my 3-year-old … So I use Wonder Woman a lot because she likes [her] very much,” Deschanel explained. “I tell her that [Wonder Woman] can’t fight bad guys unless she eats a lot of vegetables. If that doesn’t motivate me, I tell her that her hair won’t grow unless she eats her vegetables.” Frankly, that’s pretty foolproof -strategy.
So far, the Wonder Woman has not worked well with her 2-year-old son, Charlie. Anyway, at least there is a sequel around the corner.
