The View: Whoopi Goldberg and Meghan McCain explain the explosive exchange

After the heated exchange between Whoopi Goldberg and Meghan McCain it went viral, the hosts of the show couldn’t ignore the drama. On the next day’s show, Goldberg focused on the verbal feud.

“Things get heated up in this show,” Whoopi Goldberg explained. “If you watch this show, you know it’s happened over the years. We’re really passionate. This is our job. We come in, we talk to each other, sometimes we’re not as polite as we could be. That’s just the way it is.”

The Sister Act star made sure to note that just because things got out of hand didn’t mean there was animosity between them.

“This is not an indication that women can’t sit and talk,” the moderator of the show continued. “This is not an indication that we don’t know how to deal with each other in front of the camera. Things are happening in this show in real time, and wherever you’re sitting in all this, don’t assume we’re sitting here with little butcher knives under the table. This is our show and sometimes it goes off the rails and it does. Everybody just calm down. It’s a TV show.

  1. The show would be interesting if all of you wouldn’t talk over each other. It’s really hard to understand what you are saying about a special subject. McCain talks much to fast

  2. If it wasn’t for Whoopi McCain would not be made to grow up n listen more than she interrupts. McCain can be exhausting n overly pushy to be heard over n over again, hoping to get them to agree with her. AGREE TO DISAGREE RESPECTFULLY MCCAIN. THANK YOU WHOOPI because you keep the show intellectually enjoyable not catty.

  3. To Whoopi and the Cast.. everyone has there own opinion. That is why I love the View. Don’t worry…I know it’s a job and everyone has there moments…. that’s life. I am a Cast Member of Disney World Resort (Magic Kingdom),35 years and enjoy every bit of it. March 15, 2020 will be my last day of work there. Love the Mouse and The View. Next project now is 2 books I have been writing. 1st is about my life working for the Mouse Company. 2nd is titled ‘ Steps to Liberty’s Freedom’. Subject is about the Freemasons that built the American pedestal for the European Lady. Hoping to be done writing both by next summer. Have a magical day and weekend. 🤗💞
