90 Day Fiance: Deavan Clegg Says There’s More To The Story

This week’s 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way episode was very dramatic for Deavan Clegg and Jihoon Lee. After a cliffhanger last week, viewers saw the incident that left Jihoon crying on a sidewalk.

Deavan Clegg, her mom Elicia, Jihoon and Jihoon’s parents had spent the day in a park with the couple’s children, Drascilla and Taeyang. As they were leaving, Drascilla, then 3, suddenly ran away, leaving the adults running after her.

They finally caught Drascilla and she was unharmed, but the incident sparked a wild fight. Deavan and Elicia freaked out, obviously afraid of what might have happened to Drascilla. They yelled at Jihoon, who apparently had yelled at Elicia during the chase, and he burst into tears.

Deavan separated from Jihoon quite quickly, but Elicia was furious with Jihoon and let him know. Viewers thought that Elicia’s reaction was a bit excessive, but Deavan went on Instagram Live after the episode to explain it to him.

Live, Deavan said there was more to the story than what the TLC cameras captured.

“I don’t usually explain an episode when something isn’t seen on camera,” she said. “But it’s the fact that my mother is in tears right now that’s really upsetting, because nobody knows what happened, because they didn’t film what really happened and why we were shocked.”

According to Deavan, the footage that viewers saw was actually two separate incidents from the same day that were edited together. Apparently Drascilla escaped twice that day. Her first escape was filmed on camera and broadcast during the episode, but this was not the incident that caused the fight.

Drascilla’s second escape occurred after filming had already ended for the night. Jihoon Lee was supposed to be watching Drascilla while Deavan was taking care of Taeyang, but instead he was on the phone. Drascilla escaped while Jihoon was distracted, triggering the fight that the spectators saw.

Deavan explained the incident during her Live. “[Jihoon] was probably 3 meters ahead of me, I have the baby, it would have been faster for him to catch [Drascilla]. I say, “Please, go run after her, go get her, she’s running! As he’s running, he stops halfway as a car approaches Drascilla and turns around and starts yelling at me… he was swearing at me”.

“Right now my mother is witnessing a car coming towards Drascilla while he’s cursing at me. And that’s what happened. And when [Drascilla] stopped, she listened and came back.”
