Counting On: What Happened In The Video That Jessa Shared?

Jessa Duggar got some unfriendly feedback after sharing a video of her husband, Ben, and children, Spurgeon and Henry, doing their own Man vs. Wild challenge.

She shared the video on her Instagram, and the entire video was also uploaded to YouTube for Counting On fans to watch. Some commenters who didn’t finish the video jumped to the conclusion that Jessa and Ben let their boys eat insects.

Counting On: What Happened In The Video That Jessa Shared?

To create memories with her kids, Jessa and Ben put together their Man vs. Wild challenge with the boys. The Counting On star revealed that they were interested in the show and decided on their own challenge.

The boys went hunting for food in the backyard. Ben Seewald seemed to agree, which confused some fans. Ben Seewald is a big germaphobe, so the idea of allowing his children to eat insects or creatures was baffling.

Fortunately, it wasn’t. The creatures were mistaken for gummy candy. Once this was cleared up, Spurgeon was thrilled to eat them. It took a little longer for Henry to enjoy himself, but it was an experience for the whole family.

After watching some episodes of Man vs. wild, Spurgeon was inspired to forage the backyard for food. All on his own, he set a few traps to catch his dinner, so we decided to turn it into some family fun and go grub hunting— and eating. Click the link in my bio to watch! 🐛

Most of the time, Jessa is very practical with her kids. It allows them to play outdoors and create fun for themselves. Their time on the screen is limited, but it hasn’t gone by at all.

Earlier this season of Counting On, Jessa Duggar revealed that she drastically reduced the screening time for Henry when they saw the speech specialist. This helped him communicate and remember his words. Now, Henry has reached the point where he should be.
