Sister Wives: Meri Brown Goes Humble?

Once again, Meri Brown the Sister Wives star doesn’t name names. Although, she gives people enough fuel to make assumptions. She talks about how it’s okay to tell someone you love them even if they don’t feel the same way.

When she refers to someone in her own life, she doesn’t say who. But she recently shocked Sister Wives fans when she came out of nowhere in a photo with Kody Brown and declared that she loved this man. She also made a statement that she is not going anywhere, she is staying with the family.

After what the viewers of Sister Wives went through in the previous season, they could not understand what Meri Brown was thinking. Kody Brown put down his first bride and stated that she had lured him into marriage. He claimed she was manipulative, along with many other less-than-stellar traits. So, fans thought this was it at last. From what she had to say next, it sounded like Meri woke up and decided to leave. But that wasn’t the case.

Followers of the Sister Wives matriarch went so far as to speculate that Mer’s “I love this man” confession doomed the show. Some feel that that photo and her revelation damaged the show’s storyline. So, is the humble approach now the way to pick up the pieces?

Sister Wives: Meri Brown Goes Humble?

The suggestion to say “I love you” to someone who doesn’t love you sounds ridiculous to some Sister Wives viewers. It’s almost an exercise in self-mutilation. No matter what level of humility you decide to live by, saying I love you when it doesn’t come back to you must hurt.

Followers of Sister Wives suggest that this sets you up for rejection. Meri began her long New Year’s message by examining the saying “what if? This is something many people think about at least once in their lives. What if I did this instead of that, would life look different today? Meri says yes, but each of those decisions and each change of direction brings you to who you are today. So, here she is and it looks like she is taking some of the blame for what went wrong in her own Sister Wives life..

So far, Meri portrays her Sister Wives journey of the past few years to her followers as a confusing one. At first, she felt slighted, unloved and unappreciated. Not only by Kody Brown, but also by her family. She seemed to have one foot out the door in her relationship with Sister Wives. Or at least, that’s how fans saw it.

Then… boom… she appears in a photo with Kody Brown and claims to love this man. Talk about a surprising turnaround in the Sister Wives world. Many who watch the TLC series were shocked by this. Her statements were also described as a bit flippant, as it seemed like she was challenging the naysayers to take their best shot.

Now with this latest post, it almost sounds like a humble Meri is taking the blame for her unhappiness. She suggests in this New Year’s message not to judge yourself or others. She also suggests that you both forgive yourself and forgive others. This long message comes as the Sister Wives new season is just around the corner.

  1. I cannot stand how Manchild Kody treats Meri, after she gifted him& Robyn with the ultimate gift of divorce so they could marry& adopt her children. He shuts Meri down, and it’s no wonder she doesn’t speak much w/ her opinions. The ladies are obviously good business women. What does Kody actually do for work? He should practice what he ‘ preaches’ Kindness, compassion& love to Meri!
