Sister Wives spouse Christine talked about how long she has wanted to be a sister wife and about her dream of marrying her best friend’s husband. While this may seem strange to most people, Kody Brown’s wife sees it as a natural part of her upbringing.
In a recent video, Christine wished someone a happy birthday and mentioned that a friend of theirs wanted to become her sister-wife. So, Christine Brown advised them that the congratulator was handing out extraordinary kindness. She said it is the “best compliment ever” for someone to want that.
Next, Sister Wives star Christine Brown shared a factoid about growing up in a church of polygamists. She said that in the church where she grew up, men had multiple wives. Christine said she and her friends were always talking about who they were going to marry.
So, TLC star Christine said, “you’d pick the same guy.” She said that for her and her friends, talking about marrying the same man was something common-even as a child. That’s something most young girls don’t experience – unless they’re from this kind of church.
Sister Wives: Christine Planned to be Co-Wives with Friends
Christine said her friends always wanted her to be their sister-wife. And apparently, she talked about the same thing with them. So, did Christine Brown become a plural wife with one of her childhood friends? The answer is no.
However, Sister Wives co-spouse Meri Brown was friends with Christine before the latter married her husband. And if you didn’t already know, Meri Brown advocated for Kody Brown to marry Christine and make her part of the family. So, initially, the two were buddies. But TLC showed on Sister Wives that the friendship cooled during Meri Brown’s catfish scandal. So, although she didn’t make it to co-wife status with one of her childhood friends, her goal was “always, always, always” to make such a marriage.
Now, we know that Christine did not marry the same man as a friend. But she insists that she maintained relationships with best friends. Christine Brown seems to have stuck to friends. These are women she knew before she was married to Meri, Janelle, and Robyn.
