Season 18 of “Real Housewives of Orange County” has been tumultuous for Shannon Beador. Recently becoming an empty nester, Shannon faces significant life changes, including the possibility of relocating to the East Coast. Shannon first appeared on RHOC in Season 9, and her potential move would mark the end of an era for the Bravo star.
Shannon has become a fan-favorite, known for her candid moments and central role in the show’s drama. This season, she’s been at the heart of conflicts with Alexis Bellino, who is dating her ex, John Janssen, and dealing with the aftermath of her DUI arrest.
Shannon Beador’s Relocation Plans
In a recent interview with BravoTV.com, Shannon revealed her dreams of moving to New York. “I do see myself, someday, moving back East,” she said. “I love the city. I love everything about back East.” Shannon’s oldest daughters, Sophie and Adeline, already live in NYC, while her third daughter, Stella, remains closer to home. For now, Shannon enjoys her beachside Orange County residence, but the lure of New York remains strong.
Shannon Beador’s eventual move to NYC would mean leaving RHOC, a prospect many fans are not ready for. “Now I live by the beach, which I love,” she shared. “I’m about a five-minute walk to the actual beach and I’m [within] walking distance to neighborhood restaurants.” Her love for her current lifestyle and her close-knit community is what keeps her in Orange County for now.
Tamra Judge’s Heartache Over Broken Friendship
Tamra Judge opened up about her broken relationship with Shannon Beador, a key storyline in Season 18. Tamra became emotional discussing their friendship, particularly how it soured due to Shannon’s drinking. During the celebration of RHOC’s 100th episode, Tamra recounted the painful moments leading to their fallout.
Tamra and Shannon shared many highs, often alongside former housewife Vicki Gunvalson, forming the iconic “Tres Amigas.” However, Tamra felt compelled to confront Shannon about her drinking issues, leading to a dramatic turn in their friendship. “I was very good friends with Shannon for ten years,” Tamra said. “When Shannon got the DUI, I was on my way to Scotland, and we were on the phone crying together.”
The Difficult Conversation
Tamra Judge’s attempts to help Shannon address her drinking issues were met with defensiveness. “She was a really good friend. We were very, very close,” Tamra said. “But I felt like it was finally my time, to be honest.” Tamra’s candid conversation with Shannon led to their friendship’s decline, with Shannon unwilling to accept her advice.
Tamra decided to distance herself from enabling Shannon’s behavior, even leaving the “Tres Amigas” tour. “This time, nobody got hurt, but if there’s a next time, I’m not going to be one of those people who’s like, ‘Oh, you’re okay. Don’t worry. You can have a few drinks.’ I don’t want to be involved in that.”
What’s Next for Shannon Beador?
Shannon Beador’s future on “Real Housewives of Orange County” remains uncertain. As she navigates personal challenges and contemplates a significant move, fans are left wondering if this season could be her last. Shannon’s journey and her evolving relationships continue to captivate viewers, making her one of the most compelling figures on RHOC.
