Sister Wives Star Janelle Loves Her Dogs

Sister Wives’ Janelle Brown recently lost her mother and just shared an interesting side effect of losing this beloved family member. We reported last month, in December, that Sheryl Lee Brown had passed away. Now, Janelle opened her home after this loss.

If you don’t know about Janelle’s loss – her mother passed away on December 7. And Sheryl Brown has a complicated backstory with her daughter and Kody Brown. After all, Sheryl was once married to Kody Brown’s father, so his mother-in-law also became his stepmother. At the same time that Janelle married Kody and became part of the Sister Wives clan, her mother married Kody’s father. Before their two marriages, neither Janelle nor Sheryl had ever had a plural marriage. Her mother also made a few appearances on the TLC show.

Sheryl Brown moved in with Winn Brown, Kody’s father, on his ranch in Wyoming. Sheryl was widowed when Winn passed away seven years ago. Then, in late 2020, Janelle’s mother also died. Now Janelle is feeling the aftermath of this loss, and it has changed her life.

Of course, the loss of her mother was a tragic life change for Janelle. Now the Sister Wives star has said that she has taken in her mother’s dog. She said her mother’s “sweet pup” now lives with her. And she called the adorable little dog a “wonderful addition” to their home.

In case you didn’t already know, Janelle of Sister Wives loves dogs. She is an advocate for dog rescue and has an eight-year-old rescue named Bryn. She also said that the gray hairs on her pup’s face make her sad. But Janelle also said she hopes she gets to spend many more years with Bryn. In addition to Bryn and her mother’s dog, Janelle Brown also has another rescue named Obidiah, a lab mix. Sister Wives said Obi is an “annoying little brother” to her older dog Bryn. With the addition of her mother’s dog, she now has three dogs running around.

No doubt Janelle misses her mother, Sheryl. But taking care of her pup is a nice way to honor her mother. The big question is whether Janelle has enough room on her lap for another fur child. In photos, her chiweenie, Bryn, often takes up most of her lap or sleeps on her feet.

The Sister Wives mom of six now has half as many dogs as children. And now that her children are grown, Janelle probably enjoys coddling and mothering puppies. And it’s clear that her fur babies are happy animals. Some of her favorite fur-mom moments are when her animals snuggle together.
