Erika Jayne Faces Her Own Trial After Tom Girardi’s 80-Year Sentence: “I’m Not Settling. I’m Fighting.”

Just days after her ex-husband Tom Girardi was sentenced to 80 years in prison for embezzling more than $15 million, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Erika Jayne has found herself back in the spotlight-and in the courtroom.

Erika is getting ready for her trial. She’s facing a $24 million lawsuit. It claims she knowingly kept luxury items and jewelry bought with stolen money from Girardi’s law firm. But despite the serious allegations, she’s not planning to take a plea or cut a deal.

A source close to the star told The US Sun, “She’s never going to settle.”

Jayne is determined to clear her name and prove she had no knowledge of her ex-husband’s criminal activity. Prosecutors claim in court filings that Erika “refused to return” items bought with misappropriated funds. They also say she kept benefiting from “sham transactions.””

“It’s Happening Again”: Erika Jayne Breaks Down Over the Emotional Toll

In the RHOBH Season 14 finale, cameras captured the raw moment Erika Jayne learned about Girardi’s guilty verdict. Sitting down with Kyle Richards, she admitted the news hit her like a freight train.

“I could have never saw this coming,” she said through tears. “Tom was loved, he was admired, he was accomplished. And this is how his story ended. I don’t know that I’ll ever get over that.”

Erika revealed that the stress brought her back to a dark place. “Right before this verdict, I was doing so good,” she confessed. “Then the next day, I became tired. I started to want to sleep a lot.” She described feeling “depressed” and admitted, “It immediately took me back a couple of years when everything was just out of control.”

The emotional impact has been enormous. Erika said it felt like “the walls started to close in” after hearing the jury’s decision. “My drinking, my medication, it was just all of this pressure. And I thought, ‘Oh my God. It’s happening again.’”

Erika Jayne Struggles With Her Feelings for Tom Girardi

Erika was married to Tom Girardi for 22 years before filing for divorce in 2020, just before the accusations came to light. In her own words, the hardest part has been reconciling the man she loved with the crimes he committed.

“You think, ‘Well, I know this person differently.’ It f**** me up inside,” she said in a confessional. “This was not what I expected to happen.”

She didn’t hold back while discussing the emotional fallout. “I still have s**t in front of me. And he put me through a lot,” she said. “This experience with this man, while it was great, this ending is not OK.”

Jayne continued, “My feelings of sadness, my feelings of being overwhelmed, my feelings of loss-they’re all very real. And I also don’t have to apologize for my feelings. Because no one lived in that house but the two of us.”

“It Hurts Less Every Day”: Erika Jayne Is Ready for the Next Chapter

Even with a trial looming, Erika is showing signs of resilience. In the RHOBH After Show, she revealed, “It hurts less and less every day. It’s time to move on.”

Though she faces serious allegations, Erika is standing firm in her innocence. She’s never been indicted, and she insists she had no knowledge of Girardi’s crimes.

“I loved Tom very much,” she admitted. “There’s part of me that still loves Tom very much. I have incredible memories, I have terrible memories, and I wish things were not this way.”

Her trial is expected to begin in June. Until then, she’s preparing for a legal battle that could define the next phase of her life-and her career.
