John and Matt did not hold back. They dished on everything from bizarre “icks” to intense producer confrontations.

Farmer John had some very specific, and unusual, reasons for sending contestants home. One potential match, Chloe, apparently gave him “the ick” with a “wet willy.” Yes, a wet willy! Another contestant, Juliana, also triggered an “ick” for John. She reportedly used an upside-down “ok” hand gesture. If someone looks, they get a punch. These playful pranks apparently did not sit well with the farmer.

Farmer Wants a Wife: Showdown with Producers! John’s Fury Over “Forced” Kiss!
The drama wasn’t just between the farmers and the ladies. John revealed a heated moment with the show’s producers. He was “pissed off” over a failed kiss attempt with contestant Samantha. John claimed producers were “egging him on” to kiss her. When Samantha rejected the advance, John stormed off. He even took off his microphone to confront the production team. He clarified his anger was directed at the producers, not Samantha.

How did these farmers end up on TV? Both John and Matt confirmed they were recruited via DMs on Instagram. Producers then asked very “specific questions about what kind of girls they like.” These included details like height, age, hair length, and race.
Once filming began, John apparently spent considerable time with his group of girls off-camera. He mentioned bringing them alcohol and watching movies. One night, “they even braided his hair.” He felt he “really knew all of the girls on his farm.” Both farmers paid close attention to how the women interacted. They wanted to avoid drama amongst the contestants.

Not all dates were glamorous. Both John and Matt described the camping trip as “pretty miserable” and very real. They confirmed they truly “slept outdoors, and it was very rough for everybody.”
John also shed light on some departures. He said he and Samantha had “discussed her going home several times.” Her eventual exit was expected. Similarly, his parting with Kaylee wasn’t exactly as portrayed. It was a “mutual” decision. She didn’t just break up with him on the spot.
