Hannah Jiles is getting real about her experience on Love Is Blind Season 7, and it hasn’t been an easy ride. On October 15, the Netflix star was on Nick Viall’s podcast, The Viall Files. She opened up about what she learned from watching herself on-screen and the fans’ criticism.
Describing her time on the hit dating series, Hannah said, “It’s been a learning experience,” adding, “I’ve learned a lot.” She enjoyed some aspects of the show. But, the self-described “very direct person” now sees room for improvement in her communication style.
“Delivery is everything,” Hannah acknowledged. “When you see [your behavior], you’re like, ‘Good lord.’ I’ve learned just to be kinder, work on my delivery… be a little softer.”

Throughout Season 7, Hannah Jiles’s relationship with Nick Dorka was marked by tense moments and hard truths. From their honeymoon to deep talks, viewers felt Hannah was too critical. Some called her behavior “emotionally abusive.””
One particular scene became a flashpoint for fans when Hannah told Nick, “You should know how to do more at 28 years old.” Other viewers cringed at her blunt remarks about Nick’s appearance after meeting in person. Though she called him “so hot,” she admitted his looks didn’t match the image she had imagined, leading to awkward interactions.

Love Is Blind: Hannah Jiles Addresses the Fallout: ‘I’m a Work in Progress’
Facing backlash over her treatment of Nick, Hannah took accountability on her podcast. “I’ve learned there’s things I need to work on,” she confessed. “I think I’m a bit of a control freak. I like the things I like.” She added that previous partners rarely called her out on her behavior, leading to some bad habits.
“I wish people called me out on my s— more,” she admitted. “In past relationships, they just let me do what I do.”
Hannah acknowledged the pressure that came with getting engaged so quickly on the show, saying, “These questions I’m asking aren’t typical things I’d ask unless we’d been together for a long time.” She emphasized, “I’ve got a lot of room to grow. I’m trying, I promise.”
Love Is Blind: Nick and Hannah Call Off Their Wedding
The couple’s differences ultimately proved insurmountable. In the October 16 batch of episodes, Nick and Hannah agreed to call off their wedding after several heated arguments.
“Social awareness, I do not see. Respect, you have none,” Hannah told Nick in one of their final conversations. Nick responded by saying, “I thought I was good enough for you, and I was wrong the whole time.” Despite the heartbreak, he added, “You’ll always be in my heart.”
