Jenny Marrs planned to connect with fans during her Friday Q&A. But life at the Marrs house became busy and adorably chaotic. So instead, she hopped on Instagram Saturday morning with a video that featured more than just answers. She introduced the newest (and furriest) member of the family: Lloyd the cat.
“Because Dave was surprised by our new addition (this happens often), he got to choose the name,” Jenny explained in the caption. “He chose: Lloyd. It makes me laugh every time I say it.”
And just like that, Lloyd-the-cat has taken over social media hearts.
Lloyd isn’t just lounging around — he’s making memories. “Lloyd is growing so quickly and is hilarious and fun and keeps us laughing,” Jenny said. “Dave pretends he doesn’t love him, but he sends me videos like this one when I’m at work and calls to tell me how much Lloyd likes his newest toy.”
From sleeping at Jenny’s feet to waking her up with hungry meows, Lloyd is already a full-blown family favorite. “He has brought us so much joy! So grateful for @pawsofoz!” Jenny added.
Fans Can’t Stop Gushing Over Lloyd
As expected, fans didn’t just scroll past this cuteness. The comments section on Jenny’s post quickly turned into a Lloyd lovefest. One fan wrote, “Lloyd is the cutest!!” while another chimed in, “He’s so adorable!”
“I love watching Lloyd. Keep up the great work Dave,” one emotional fan shared, even opening up about losing their own beloved cat. “We just put to sleep our beautiful cat Kodi on Thursday. Pray he is running around with his brother that we lost last July.”
Others praised Dave Marrs for being a softie at heart: “Dave pretends to be a tough guy sometimes but he is just a softie. What started as a casual Q&A quickly became a feline fan club. “More Lloyd content 😻😍,” one fan begged. “Just want to say I am in love with your kitty—just adorable 🥰 And the curiosity is so cute.” Another wrote, “That cat looks just like my cat!” while someone else laughed, “If you want to see something really hilarious, get a pecan (in the shell) and give it to Lloyd to play with on the kitchen floor. He will go ‘nuts’.”
Even the longtime HGTV followers had their thoughts. “So Jenny collects critters and Dave collects things with motors… seems like a fair trade! LOL,” one fan joked.
