Retired Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant, 41, was feared dead in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California. Several media organizations reported that Bryant was among the passengers traveling in the helicopter on Sunday.
Five people were confirmed dead, with no survivors, in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Twittered. An investigation is underway.

Kobe Bryant, the 18-time All-Star and five-time champion, retired in 2016 after winning Olympic gold as a member of the U.S. Team in 2008 and 2012.
By the time he retired, Kobe had expanded his reach, winning an Academy Award in 2018 for his animated short film “Dear Basketball. He was scheduled to be nominated for the 2020 N.B.A. Hall of Fame.
