Lindsay Hubbard Opens Up About Pregnancy Challenges: “I’m Hormonal AF”

Summer House star Lindsay Hubbard has never been one to shy away from sharing the raw, unfiltered truth with her fans. On August 8, the reality star took to Instagram to give a candid update on her pregnancy journey, and she didn’t hold back. The 37-year-old shared her mixed emotions and health worries as she prepares for motherhood.

Lindsay, expecting her first child with boyfriend Turner Kufe, revealed that her doctor recently advised her to limit weight gain. Admitting that she’s already gained 40 pounds, Lindsay Hubbard shared the mixed emotions she’s feeling as she navigates this new chapter in her life.

Doctor’s Warning: Lindsay Urged to Control Weight Gain

In her Instagram update, Lindsay Hubbard detailed the guidance she received from her doctor. “I am hormonal AF. These hormones are raging through my body. And everything activates me,” Lindsay confessed, giving followers a glimpse into the emotional challenges she’s facing. She then dropped a surprising revelation: “My doctor [was] telling me that I can’t gain any more weight.”

While some might take this as a vanity issue, Lindsay made it clear that her doctor’s advice was strictly health-related. “It has nothing to do with vanity… Gaining too much weight can increase my blood pressure and obviously, that’s not good, especially during the delivery,” she explained. Lindsay noted the risk of gestational diabetes. She stressed the need to keep a healthy weight for her and her baby’s well-being.

Lindsay was determined to follow medical advice. But, she felt confused by her healthcare team’s contradictory guidance. She recalled, “At my last scan a couple of weeks ago, they told me that my daughter was on the smaller side and to continue eating, and two weeks later, I go to my OB and she’s like, ‘You need to watch how much you’re gaining.’”

Preparing for Motherhood Amidst Uncertainty

Lindsay’s pregnancy journey has had its challenges. But, she is focused on doing what’s best for her and her baby. “I’ve already gained 40 pounds. But I was very, very thin when I got pregnant so I think I got to a normal weight before all was said and done,” she shared, shedding light on her efforts to find balance.

As she awaits her first child, Lindsay has been busy. She’s setting up the nursery and planning for life with a newborn. She explained her decision to get a day bed for the nursery, revealing her plans to hire a baby nurse to help during the first few months. “I live in New York City. The fact that I have a two-bedroom apartment as it is is kind of a big deal so the second bedroom is not massive and I have to work with what I have,” she said.

With her pregnancy nearing the six-month mark, Lindsay is also gearing up for a new season of Summer House. Season nine is in production. Fans will see more of Lindsay’s life and pregnancy when the show returns later this year or early next year.
