Despite these challenges, June did reunite with Sandra at key family events, including Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell’s wedding and funeral. However, their reconciliation seems to have been short-lived. They haven’t kept in touch since.

Mama June’s Struggles After Anna’s Passing
Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell’s death from stage 4 adrenal carcinoma in December 2023 broke Mama June’s heart. Living in the house where her daughter passed away has been a daily struggle for her.
June shared her anguish with PEOPLE, revealing, “This is where everything happened. We are living in a constant nightmare.” She added that she’s made it her mission to move before the anniversary of Anna’s death, saying, “It’s been a struggle, but we are determined to start fresh.”
This tragedy strained June’s relationships. But, it briefly united the family. June is now raising Anna’s daughter, Kaitlyn, as she tries to provide stability amidst her grief.
