My Big Fat Fabulous Life is a TLC reality show that follows the life of Whitney Thore, a woman who is on a mission to promote body positivity and learn to love yourself no matter what skin you wear. The show not only features Whitney, but also her parents, Glenn Thore and Barbara Thore, her brother Hunter Thore, and a handful of her closest friends. With season 8 and the current episodes, the show has addressed Whitney Thore’s most recent breakup, the dynamics within her friendships, and her concern for her parents. What fans are curious about is why Hunter Thore is appearing in many more recent episodes than she did before.
Hunter Thore has appeared in at least one episode in every season of My Big Fat Fabulous Life, however, it is usually a brief appearance while visiting his parents. What fans have noticed in seasons 8 and 9 is that Hunter is present in almost every episode, either at home with his parents or helping Whitney Thore, such as when he attended her appointment with a doctor for a consultation on weight loss surgery.
There is a simple explanation for her more frequent appearances on the show. At the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), Thore returned to Greensboro, North Carolina, to be with his parents. This came at a time when Whitney Thore was still living in Charlotte, more than an hour away from her parents, and did not want to travel and potentially expose herself or her parents to the virus.
Now that everyone is vaccinated, Whitney Thore brought up the fact in a recent episode of the show that it was time for Hunter Thore to move back to New York and live his life again, causing Whitney Thore to continue the discussion to move her parents from their master bedroom upstairs to the first level of their home.
My Big Fat Fabulous Life: What Does Hunter Thore Do For A Living?
