RHOBH star Erika Jayne is starting anew. She is navigating it solo after her high-profile marriage to famed attorney Tom Girardi ended. Having been married twice, Erika has seen the highs and lows of love, but now, she’s choosing to focus on herself. The question on everyone’s mind: Is Erika Jayne committed to staying single?
When Erika first joined RHOBH, she was living a life of luxury, funded by her much older husband, Tom Girardi. The couple’s lavish lifestyle and Erika’s budding career as a performer were supported by Tom’s success. However, behind the scenes, things were far from perfect. Tom’s cold demeanor, which viewers occasionally glimpsed on the show, hinted at deeper issues. His infidelity and eventual legal troubles—stealing millions from his clients—led Erika to file for divorce in November 2020.
The fallout was intense, with Erika facing public scrutiny and accusations of lacking empathy for Tom’s victims. Despite the turmoil, she has worked hard to rebuild her life, distancing herself from her former marriage and the scandals that came with it.
Erika Jayne: “I Don’t Think I’m Ready to Date Again”
Now, as Erika Jayne returns for Season 14 of RHOBH, fans are curious about her love life. On a recent episode of the Two Ts In A Pod podcast, which she co-hosted alongside RHOBH alum Teddi Mellencamp, Erika candidly addressed her future in the dating world. When asked by Teddi if she sees herself dating again, Erika replied, “I don’t think so. I don’t feel that that’s where I’m at.”
For Erika, this time in her life is all about self-discovery and personal growth. “I have a lot of work to do, and I really just want to be successful on my own,” she explained. “I have, for the first time, my own thing. For real, for real. And being a grown-up, you know? Like this isn’t being 20 and being married to your husband and having a child…this is Erika out on her own doing it, and it feels good.”
Why Erika Jayne Is Focusing on Herself
After years of being tied to powerful men, Erika Jayne is reveling in the freedom that comes with being single. She’s keenly aware of the costs associated with being involved with someone influential. “If you’re involved with a man, and certainly with a powerful man, there’s a price to pay. First off, any man. Nothing is free in this world. And you know, the more powerful, the more wealthy, the more price.”
This newfound independence has allowed Erika to explore aspects of herself that were previously constrained by her marriages. “I want to see what else I can do,” she shared, highlighting her desire to push her own boundaries and thrive on her own terms.
However, Erika doesn’t believe she’ll be single forever. She’s open to love when the time is right but isn’t in a rush. “When the time is right, my person will come along, and things will fall into place,” she stated, expressing a calm confidence in her future. For now, Erika is content focusing on herself and living her best life—one that she’s shaping entirely on her own.
