When discussing the potential argument behind her potential argument with her longtime friends, Vanderpump Rules star Kristen Doute says she believes co-star Stassi Shroeder was “on horseback” after her engagement and that “single Kristen” is no longer suitable for this moment.

Ahead of the season 8 premiere of Vanderpump Rules, rumors have begun to circulate about a rift between the self-proclaimed WeHo Witches, Kristen, Stassi Shroeder and Katie Maloney-Schwartz. While the reason for the feud is still unknown, with the new season currently airing, it seems clear to fans that Doute’s breakup with ex-boyfriend Brian Carter has something to do with the tension between the three women. The owner of James Mae’s t-shirt line is opening up about what she believes is the reason for the feud, and fan speculation doesn’t seem to be far behind.

In an interview with Us Weekly, Doute says that “it seemed like during the summer she was on this pedestal” after her engagement to her boyfriend Beau Clark. The former SUR-ver went on to talk about how the author of Next Level Basic has a “now perfect relationship and now she’s getting married and everything’s going great,” and while many of the other cast members have long-term relationships or are now married, “here’s single Kristen, [and] well she doesn’t fit into our group now. It seems clear to viewers that the feud between the WeHo Witches stems at least in part from Kristen’s relationship with Carter, but Kristen Doute says she spends each episode “waiting to see a private conversation between Katie Maloney Schwartz and Stassi” that sheds more light on the situation. She continued that while she understands that the “toxicity” of her relationship “or the constant bickering or seeing me sad can weigh on someone” but she thought she could “confide in my two best friends and let my girlfriend vent without causing a rift in the group”.

The author of “He’s Making You Crazy” says that while she was hoping to fix her friendships with Stassi and Katie Maloney Schwartz, things swooped at the time of Brittany and Jax’s wedding in June 2019. He says he “did everything he could to try to fix it, to try to have the conversation”, but that “there comes a time when I had to leave, you know what? I know my value and I know I’ve always been a great friend to them.” Kristen says she has “many other people to whom [she] can give that love” in the meantime, even though “I’ve always been there for them. Bravo’s star seems to have confidence that the three women will be able to mend their friendship in the future, but she made it clear that the “nail in the coffin” will be if she is not invited to Stassi and Beau’s wedding, which is set for October.

This is certainly not the first topic that Kristen, Katie Maloney-Schwartz and Stassi Shroeder have had to work on over the years, but it seems that this may be the last topic for the WeHo Witches. The British Queen of Beverly Hills, Lisa Vanderpump, said she believes the rift between Shroeder and Doute will be permanent, despite the fact that Kristen seems to have hopes, so fans will just have to wait and see how the season unfolds. Many of the cast members of Vanderpump Rules have hinted that season 8 will be very dramatic and with only three episodes aired so far, this is proving to be very true.
