Former 90 Day Fiance star Angela Deem is taking control of her life and her body. Judging by Deem’s progression on social media, some drastic measures have been taken to get her to her leanest weight. Aside from her health, what prompted Angela to seek help to lose the excess weight?

Viewers and fans are wondering if she finally found the egg she so desperately wanted to carry. Although she hasn’t confirmed whether she underwent gastric bypass, there’s no doubt that Angela is unrecognizable.

Viewers first met Angela Deem and Michael Ilesanmi on the second season of 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days. After meeting only online, Angela bravely flew to Nigeria. Friends and family were skeptical of Michael Ilesanmi because he was over 20 years younger than Angela. They believed he had ulterior motives, but Angela was convinced he was the one. Michael was just as nervous about the first meeting because he didn’t know what to expect.

She clearly had her head in the clouds, while Michael Ilesanmi was expecting someone younger and quieter. Yet, they still tried to make their time together work. The two eventually got engaged and continued their story on 90 Day Fiance. One theme that carried throughout their journey was Angela’s desire to have a child. At age 50, she knew she was out of eggs. She turned to her daughter Scottie for an egg saying, “I can carry it. I just need your egg.”

Scottie did not appreciate this request. Her mother was relentless in her request and continued in 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? At this point, Angela and Michael had gotten married and it was very important for the couple to start a family. And then Angela decided she wanted to lose the pounds, and fast.

Despite Michael’s trepidations about Angela Deem going under the knife for weight loss surgery, she apparently didn’t listen. Over the past six months, Angela has shown her weight loss progress, although she has yet to say exactly what she did.

In addition, Deem has revealed that she wants her excess skin removed. Michael is opposed to this option. Fans think this is proof that he loves her just the way she is. But, in his 50s, it could be a risky surgery.

It still begs the question: why the sudden weight loss? The two will be on the Discovery+ 90 Day Fiance Love Games spinoff so Angela could tell all about it there. Or the couple could be gearing up for an interview or spin-off of their own.
