In the coming months, two pillars in the lives of the expansive Kardashian family are coming to an end. Keeping Up with the Kardashians – the cable network’s E! reality series that brought family drama to the masses – is ending after 20 seasons on the air. And Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West’s marriage, which they married in 2014, is also ending. As the Kardashians’ TV show comes to an end, fans are wondering how the upcoming divorce of the show’s power couple will be portrayed.
KUWTK first aired in 2007. In the fall of 2020, the eponymous family announced that they were leaving E! and ending their show. “After what will be 14 years, 20 seasons, hundreds of episodes and several spinoff shows, we have decided as a family to end this very special journey,” the family told Deadline last year. “We are beyond grateful to all of you who have watched us all these years – through the good times, the bad times, the happiness, the tears, and the many relationships and children.”
The show sparked numerous headlines in media around the world as it followed Kris Jenner and her many children, including Kim Kardashian West, Kourtney Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian, Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner.
Iconic moments include Kim Kardashian losing her diamond jewelry while swimming in Bora Bora, the sisters’ numerous personal fights with each other, and West’s marriage proposal to his soon-to-be ex-wife.
Fans Are Wondering If Kanye West Will Appear İn The Final Season Of KUWTK
Kanye West first appeared on Keeping Up with the Kardashians in 2015, IMDb reports. However, unlike his wife and children, he largely avoided appearing on the show. Despite his absence, West’s relationship with Kardashian West and the extended Kardashian clan has often been at the forefront of media reports and storylines on the show. And while it wouldn’t be unusual for him to make a surprise appearance in the upcoming final season, investigative fans have reason to believe that the rapper will be absent from the series finale.
According to US Weekly, Kanye West was not seen on set during the final days of filming. “The rapper, 43, was not present for the final day of filming on the reality show on Friday, Jan. 8, a source exclusively confirms to US Weekly,” the publication explains. “His absence during his in-laws’ milestone moment comes amid his relationship drama with Kardashian, 40.” Kanye West’s IMDb page also doesn’t list him as starring in the final season of KUWTK. And Deadline points out that Kanye West will not appear at all in the Kardashians’ upcoming Hulu series.
All of these clues suggest that the rapper will no longer appear on Keeping Up with the Kardashians, except perhaps in flashbacks using old footage. Interested fans will have to wait until March 18, 2021, when the final season debuts, to see for themselves.
