Flip Or Flop: Christina Opens Up About What She İs Struggling With

It’s hard to bring your life out into the open – especially for a parent like Christina Anstead. The recently divorced mother of three is constantly under the microscope, and it can’t be easy. That’s probably why the Flip of Flop host decided to stand up for herself on social media (via Life & Style). What’s more, this time it was about her children, and that’s something Christina just couldn’t keep up and say anything about.

The HGTV star responded to recent criticism in an Instagram post. She started her long and heartfelt message with an echo of what most of us felt in 2020. “This year has been incredibly isolating. Activities such as church, travel, dinner, movies, sports – cancelled.

No more seeing my friends smiling faces on set (all covered in masks) it all feels like s**t,” Christina wrote as a caption to a selfie. She added, “So many changes for so many people. So despite what you see on Instagram, most people are struggling.

Feels weird to say this – but I’m excited to announce #FlipOrFlop has been picked up for a 10th season! My goal was always a decade of tv. It’s a big accomplishment in this industry and something @therealtarekelmoussa and I are both proud of… It has been one hell of a ride. 😜 I love the fact that Tay and Bray will get to look back at this journey and watch themselves grow up. Thank you @hgtv for sticking with us through it all. Big thank you to our producer and friend @mpando72 for not only being the best producer/ director but also for being such a good friend and making filming so much fun. And all our colleagues at @pietownproductions I love each and every one of you – thank you for doing such an amazing job on this show. It really does take a village. And mostly THANK YOU to all of you for watching throughout the years and making it such a hit. Much love ♥️. 🌪.

According to Christina Anstead, she is often told, “You must be an absent mother because you are not with your children. The new single mother quickly shot down this criticism and wrote, “I hardly post anymore…. and I don’t want to post my kids every day to make a contest about who’s a better parent.” Of course, Christina talks about how she shares her children Taylor and Brayden with her ex-husband Tarek El Moussa, and her son Hudson with her estranged husband Ant Anstead.

“This doesn’t mean I’m not with my children. It means the opposite. I am with them. I am with them.” Christina answered her critics and added these harsh words. “So stop being ashamed of people by parents, stop picking sides when there is no side to choose.

The empowering post ended with Christina reminding people that on Instagram, we have to remember what we sometimes see are fake smiles and filters. “I’m also guilty of pretending. We’re all struggling. Some of us are just better at ‘masking’ it.”

  2. Christina I know you are off social media snd may not see this message but don’t let these people you criticize you bother you. They clearly have no class. This year had been hard and I can’t imagine how hard it is to co parent and then work two shows with three kids. I have watched you since season one and then when you started Christina on the coast I love that show too. I just want to say sorry that you are going thru this and hope that you find love and peace and happiness. You have the best start those three amazing sweet kids. Stay strong stay well and I live in WI so will never meet you but you have support all over the world.
