One of our favorites, Andrew He, has shared some exciting and heartwarming news with us. Amid the thrill of the ongoing 2023 Jeopardy! Masters tournament, Andrew announced the birth of his baby son, Everett. Let’s dive into this touching moment, shall we?

Jeopardy: A Precious Moment on Stage

During Monday’s show, the San Francisco-based software developer couldn’t hold back his emotions. Host Ken Jennings gently inquired about a new addition to his family, and Andrew beamed as he confirmed the news.

“I have a newborn son. Thanks to just everyone in the world, I guess, but especially the Jeopardy crew,” he said, adding that the joy of fatherhood followed swiftly after his appearance on stage. He also sent out a heartfelt shout-out to his wife, Sarah, leaving everyone teary-eyed.

Jeopardy: A Walk Down Memory Lane

For those of you who might not know, Andrew is no stranger to the Jeopardy! stage. He first took the world by storm back in November 2021, when he set the record for the largest amount ever won in a player’s first game – a whopping $52,001!

Then, he returned in 2022 for the Tournament of Champions, showcasing his impressive trivia knowledge yet again. Despite not clinching the top spot, he managed to amass a grand total of $259,365 in winnings – quite an achievement!

Jeopardy: Looking Ahead in 2023

Now, in the 2023 Masters tournament, Andrew’s up against some stiff competition, including Amy Schneider, Matt Amodio, Mattea Roach, Sam Buttrey, and James Holzhauer. He’s playing for more than just bragging rights, too – a cool $500,000 and the coveted Trebek Trophy are up for grabs!

When Ken Jennings asked Andrew about his plans for his winnings, he gave a rather sweet answer. “I would love to help my friend, Vincent, start an ice cream company,” Andrew said. But when asked about his favorite ice cream flavor, he kept it a mystery, laughing as he insisted, “That’s a secret. I’m sorry.”

As we continue to cheer for Andrew in the 2023 Jeopardy! Masters, we can’t help but be thrilled about his exciting personal news. We wish Andrew, Sarah, and their newborn son, Everett, all the best.
