A Real Housewives of New York City friend who attended the exclusive Married to the Mob party shares that the fast and furious battle between Ramona Singer and Elyse Slaine went as fast as it did on the show.
“I didn’t know Ramona was even coming to the party,” behind the Velvet Rope with David Yontef podcast host and Housewife friend David Yontef told Showbiz Cheat Sheet. “I literally haven’t seen her all evening and no one has really seen her. So [the fight] must have been good in the beginning.” Yontef says he didn’t witness the fight and just thought Ramona Singer wasn’t coming to the party.
Yontef talked to Elyse Slaine later that night, but he says she played it cool. “I hung up with Elyse and she didn’t say this,” he remembers. “But all night I was like where the hell is Ramona? It didn’t make any sense to me.”
RHONY: Ramona Stormed Out Of The Party
Producers provided an accurate picture of how quickly Ramona Singer arrived and left the party. Yontef said he arrived early before the hall was full, but never saw Singer.
Ramona Singer was the last cast member to arrive and she tried to avoid Elyse Slaine. Singer greeted Leah McSweeney and talked to Leah McSweeney’s mother. Eventually Slaine confronted Singer with the question of why she pretends not to know her. “I don’t know who you are,” Ramona Singer told Slaine who ran away.
Elyse Slaine tried to grab Singer’s arm and chased Singer after Leah McSweeney urged her to talk to her. Of course, the exchange soured quickly. “You’re an ambiguous, nefarious, superficial b*tch,” Slaine told Singer. Ramona Singer smiled and walked away, heading for the exit. She told Slaine that she was “sick and evil.
Ramona Singer stormed up the stairs while Leah McSweeney chased her. “Ramona won’t leave, please,” McSweeney begged Singer. But Singer took off.
