Sister Wives Star Christine Brown Ties the Knot with David Woolley: Who Made it to the Guest List?

Fans of TLC’s Sister Wives have a reason to celebrate—or gossip—depending on how they feel about Christine Brown’s recent nuptials to David Woolley. The couple said their vows on Saturday, October 7, at the scenic Red Cliffs Lodge in Moab, Utah, surrounded by 300 friends and family members. According to theworldnewsdaily, the ceremony and reception were a total “fairytale,” complete with an autumnal color scheme and elegant decor.

But, as all things in reality TV often go, there was drama brewing behind the wedding bells. Specifically, who was—and wasn’t—on the guest list.

Sister Wives: Who Showed Up and Who Didn’t

While the bride and groom enjoyed their magical evening, Kody and Robyn Brown seemed to have had a different agenda for the weekend, focused on Kody’s health concerns. No surprise there—Kody and Robyn’s absence was pretty much expected.

However, eyebrows raised when Janelle Brown, another of Kody’s wives, not only attended but also seemed thrilled about Christine’s new chapter. Janelle, who donned a dusty rose-hued floor-length gown, looked radiant in photos alongside Christine. She even took to Instagram to share a shot of the breathtaking venue, captioning it, “Moab, UT in all its splendor. Such a beautiful place, especially as the sun is setting.”

Then there’s Meri Brown—Kody’s first wife—who was conspicuously missing from the ceremony. Although her absence was shrouded in initial mystery, she soon revealed on Instagram that her brother had passed away two days before due to cancer. Whether she was invited in the first place remains a hot topic, especially considering the frosty history between Meri and Christine.

Last year, Christine told Entertainment Tonight that her relationship with Meri was virtually nonexistent. “We’re just very different, and so I won’t be really having that much to do with Meri so much,” she declared. The sentiment was echoed in an interview with US Weekly, where Christine admitted to not having spoken much to Meri since leaving Kody.

Sister Wives: The Strain of Wedding Planning

Christine and David acknowledged that crafting the perfect guest list had its hurdles, especially when balancing extended families and the unique dynamics that come with the Sister Wives clan. In an interview with PEOPLE, Christine said, “There’s been so many moving pieces with people coming and not coming, and then you’re always going to offend someone.”
