Angela Deem isn’t holding anything back. The 90 Day Fiancé star has filed new court documents in her divorce from Michael Ilesanmi. She accuses him of marriage fraud. She also claims that some parts of their TV storyline were staged by TLC.
Angela claims that Michael never meant to create a real marriage. She says he aimed to use her in a scheme with Nigerian men who want to marry American women for green cards. Angela claims she discovered this after Michael left her Georgia home and moved to Texas earlier this year.
“[Michael] was engaged in a conspiracy with other Nigerian men to induce U.S. citizens into marriage for the purpose of gaining legal permanent resident status,” the documents read. Angela is now seeking an annulment based on this alleged fraud.
90 Day Fiancé: TLC Storylines Called Out: “That Scene Was Scripted”
The legal documents also take aim at the network that brought Angela and Michael into living rooms across the globe—TLC. Angela claims some scenes on 90 Day Fiancé were “scripted” by production. She says these scenes don’t show their real relationship.
She denied Michael’s claim that they were physically intimate after he arrived in the U.S. in late 2023. She said, “TLC production created this product using snippets of other productions.” Angela added, “[Michael] is acutely aware this was a TLC scripted scene.”
That’s not all. Angela said Michael often slept on the couch. She claimed he had “multiple reasons” to avoid sharing a bed with her. She also confirmed that they had no sexual activity while in America.
She further stated, “[Angela has] zero control with regard to the actions of a multinational television network.”

90 Day Fiancé: Michael Ilesanmi Fires Back: “I Fled for My Safety”
While Angela paints a picture of betrayal and deceit, Michael tells a much different story. In his own filings, he accused Angela of mental and physical abuse, both “publicly and privately.” He claimed he didn’t abandon her but rather fled their Georgia home in fear for his own safety.
Michael wants a divorce, not an annulment. He also seeks spousal support and half of the assets Angela gained during their marriage. He’s fighting Angela’s fraud claims. He feels sure he won’t be deported because he has a green card and no criminal charges.
“I did not abandon Angela,” Michael stated. “I left due to an abusive situation.”

90 Day Fiancé: One Phone Call and a Broken Family
Angela admitted in her response that she only contacted Michael once since their separation. She claimed it wasn’t for her—but for her young granddaughter, who didn’t understand why her step-grandfather had suddenly vanished.
“[The call was] for the sole purpose of his step-granddaughter asking to speak to her step-grandfather,” Angela explained. “Her tender age would not lend understanding to his abandonment of our family.”
Angela has requested her last name be legally changed back to Deem, and confirmed that she and Michael have no joint property or debts to divide.
90 Day Fiancé: Will Michael Ilesanmi Be Deported? Angela Wants Him Out
Angela made it clear—she wants Michael out of the United States. She believes he scammed his way into the country and committed marriage fraud.
Michael, however, remains unfazed. He still lives in Texas with friends. He says he’s not worried about deportation. The only way that could change is if he’s convicted of a serious crime, but that hasn’t happened.
