90 Day Fiance star Ariela Weinberg reluctantly agrees to have her son Avi baptized. This is another concession she makes for her fiancé Biniyam Shibre. First of all it was circumcision; now it is a baptism. Biniyam’s “just one request” has been changed into a list of demands. 90 Day Fiance: Ariela Confused at Baptism

This week on 90 Day Fiance is Ariela and Biniyam’s son Avi’s baptism. Again, Ariela Weinberg is forced to give in to Biniyam’s “one last request”. So reluctantly she agrees to have their son baptized in his father’s faith. Biniyam’s family is adamant Avi would be damned if he were not baptized. So, Ariela doesn’t want that curse on her son. Biniyam is happy that Ari has agreed to their son’s baptism.

However, 90 Day Fiance’s Ariela Weinberg feels very uncomfortable at the ceremony. Just like with the circumcision, she feels overwhelmed and confused. The sisters of Biniyam are close by to help explain what is happening while Biniyam is chasing the elders of the church. Yet Ariela is lost. So she gives in and goes with the flow.

90 Day Fiance celebrates Ariela’s surprise to hear that her son will have a different name for his baptism. This was another small detail she was not aware of beforehand. So the priest approaches Ari and Avi and asks whether the child is a male or female. As soon as Ari says he is a man, the priest announces that the name Avi will be baptized with.

The baptism seemed to happen so quickly on 90 Day Fiance. In fact, Ariela didn’t have time to ask Avi’s aunts what was going on so quickly. So when the priest gave Avi a baptism name, Ari told her son, that is your Ethiopian name. Biniyam Shibre should have talked to Ariela about what the ceremony would involve before they arrived at the church. Sure, that would have made the new mother more comfortable.
