90 Day Fiancé’s Niles Valentine and Matilda Nti Spark Controversy With GoFundMe - Fans Are Divided!

Niles Valentine and Matilda Nti are making headlines once again, but this time, it’s not for their love story. The 90 Day Fiancé couple has started a GoFundMe to help them reunite in the U.S. Some fans are supportive, but others are skeptical. They wonder why the couple can’t cover their own costs.

90 Day Fiancé: Niles Valentine & Matilda Nti’s GoFundMe Raises Eyebrows

Niles Valentine and Matilda Nti, who were separated at the end of Before the 90 Days Season 7, recently announced their fundraiser on social media. According to the couple, they need $8,000 to cover visa processing, medical exams, travel expenses, legal fees, and Matilda’s plane ticket to the U.S.

Surprisingly, the campaign quickly met—and even exceeded—its goal, bringing in over $9,000 in just two days. However, not everyone is thrilled about their decision to crowdfund their reunion.

Many 90 Day Fiancé fans took to social media to express their frustration:

“If you can’t afford sponsorships, flights, and fees, why get involved in international relationships?”

“They get paid by the show. Where is that money?”

“It’s great they reached their goal, but they should take the page down now.”

90 Day Fiancé: Are Niles & Matilda Following Michael’s Footsteps?

Some fans compared their fundraiser to Michael Ilesanmi, who raised over $30,000 through GoFundMe. While Michael claimed it was for legal fees, the backlash he received was intense. Now, Niles and Matilda may be facing the same scrutiny, as people question their financial decisions.

A fan page for 90 Day Fiancé, @90dayfianceupdate, noted that Niles said he has a well-paying job. He works as the Director of Self-Advocacy at the Alabama Department of Mental Health. This led many to wonder: Why isn’t he saving up instead of asking for donations?

One fan bluntly commented:

“Get a job… or two… or three. Be a man, save up, and make it happen.”

Others, however, still supported the couple, calling them one of the most “real” pairs in the season.

90 Day Fiancé: Is TLC Bringing Niles & Matilda Back?

TLC hasn’t said if Niles Valentine and Matilda Nti will be back for another season. Still, fans think their dramatic story could be great for TV.

Some even argue that TLC should step in and help cover some of the costs, especially if they plan to film Matilda’s arrival in the U.S..

“TLC should at least help them out if they’re going to film their journey.”

With Matilda still waiting in Ghana, time is running out for them to reunite. If they don’t come up with the remaining funds, delays could put their marriage at risk.

90 Day Fiancé: The Growing Trend of 90 Day Fiancé Stars Asking for Money

GoFundMe campaigns have become a trend in the 90 Day Fiancé universe. Some people, like Michael Ilesanmi, raised thousands. But others, such as Brandan and Mary Denuccio, scammed fans by faking a cancer diagnosis for money.

This raises a bigger question: Should reality TV stars be relying on fans for financial support?

For now, Niles and Matilda’s fundraiser is legit, according to 90 Day Fiancé blogger @90dayfiance_alexa. But that hasn’t stopped the controversy.

Will they prove the doubters wrong or become the next GoFundMe scandal? Only time will tell.

What do you think? Should fans support Niles and Matilda, or should they find another way to reunite? Share your thoughts in the comments!

  1. They don’t need a go fund me page when they get paid by the show.
