Danon disease is cruel and fast-acting. The condition is passed down genetically and primarily affects boys. In Adriel’s case, it caused severe cardiomyopathy—making his little heart work harder than it ever should have. “He was very close to me,” Anny added, revealing just how deep their bond was during his short time on earth.
