Molly Duff and Jonathan Francetic seemed a good match at first, at least on paper, on Lifetime’s Married at First Sight Season 6. The Boston couple shared common interests and values and seemed to get along well.
But Molly Duff admitted that something about Jon Francetic’s personality turned her off. She was never intimate, even affectionate, with her husband. The couple’s communication was interrupted until they had trouble being together without a fight. Eventually, they decided to divorce, and Jon Francetic also mentioned that Molly’s treatment of him was “emotionally offensive.
But after the end of the season, Jon’s involvement in the Married Couples franchise on first watch didn’t end. To everyone’s surprise, he got involved with Dr. Jessica Griffin, a former Married at First Sight expert who had had a hand in pairing him with Molly Duff. Jon and Jessica are now engaged and run a relationship coaching business together.
Molly Duff has never spoken publicly about this strange situation. That all changed on April 29th when she spoke to landlord Kevin Frazier during the Married at First Sight: Where are they now?
Married at First Sight: Molly Duff Said She Was Upset At First About Jon Francetic’s Relationship With Dr. Jessica Griffin
When Molly Duff appeared on camera to talk to Frazier, she admitted that she was “nervous” to finally talk about the delicate subject after holding her tongue for so long. “I made a very quiet point of view on social media and kept my opinion to myself,” said the star of Married at First Sight, “so I think this is my chance to share my thoughts.
When Frazier asked Molly Duff what she would have liked to do differently when she appeared on Married at First Sight, she had a surprising response. “I wanted to be more supportive for myself from the beginning,” Molly revealed.
Because she didn’t defend herself often, she explained, she lost patience and treated Jon badly when their marriage began to fall apart. “I ended up losing my temper toward the end, and it didn’t look good,” Molly Duff admitted.
As for Molly’s feelings about Jon and Jessica’s relationship, she confessed that it was strange to find out at first, mainly because of Jessica’s consulting role on the screen. Although the experts at Married at First Sight don’t act technically as therapists to the participants, she gave advice to the couple the entire time they were on the show.
“It kind of sucked, because I said to myself, ‘Okay, this is someone I confided in all the time,” Molly Duff told Frazier. “Jessica] was supposed to fight for our marriage together. And then, all of a sudden, all of a sudden they’re together.”
