In a sneak peek of Sister Wives: One-on-One Part 3, airing Sunday, June 8, Christine and Janelle Brown accuse Kody Brown of targeting their emotions. They say he took advantage of their vulnerabilities during and after their splits.
Janelle didn’t mince words:
“He attacked all of his wives that are leaving in the area that hurts them the most.”
For Janelle, it was finances. Kody, she claims, spread lies behind her back—accusing her of “calling the shots on the money” to undermine her.
“I’m very fiscally responsible,” she said. “He wanted to sort of undermine that for me.”
Christine backed her up instantly.
“He was knocking her down so she doesn’t feel smart. He knows the buttons to push.”
And those buttons? Christine said he pushed hers too.
“He knew what I craved was a romantic relationship. Then he said, ‘We’re not going to be intimate anymore.’”
“Isn’t that so sad?” she asked. “He knew our weaknesses – and he used them against us.”

Sister Wives: Fans Notice What Was Missing
Christine and Meri’s stories were the focus of the tell-all, but fans spotted a big gap. Kody didn’t mention his current relationship with Janelle at all.
“Why didn’t anyone ask how he feels about being friends with Janelle?” one Reddit user asked.
“All this talk about Christine and Meri, but nothing about Janelle — it’s so obvious.”
And viewers have theories. One top comment read:
“It was filmed before Garrison’s death, but they agreed not to talk about him. And you can’t talk about Kody and Janelle without talking about Garrison.”
Another speculated:
“Maybe he was so hateful they couldn’t even air it. Or producers cut it to protect Janelle.”
One Redditor dropped the harshest take yet:
“He knew he couldn’t bash a grieving mother. That wouldn’t play well on camera.”
Sister Wives: Janelle Was the One Who Really Left – And That Still Stings
Fans also pointed out the emotional power shift between Kody and his exes. While Meri and Christine were emotionally pushed out, Janelle is the one who told Kody to his face that she was done. No guessing. No hesitation.
“She told him flat out, ‘I don’t want you, and nothing you do can change that,’” one viewer wrote.
“That had to hit like losing both kidneys at once.”
Christine may have moved on, Meri may have been discarded — but Janelle walked away with her dignity and made sure Kody knew it.
“She wants nothing to do with him. Ever.”
And maybe that’s the reason his silence was so loud.
Sister Wives: Kody’s Narrative Is Falling Apart
Fans are pointing out Kody’s behavior and the show’s editing. They see emotional surprises from his exes as part of a certain narrative being pushed.
“You can’t talk about the collapse of his marriage to Janelle without mentioning Garrison. And they weren’t allowed to. So instead, they just avoided the whole thing.”
“Or maybe they knew Kody would self-destruct if asked.”
“The man clearly didn’t want to give Janelle the power of walking away. So they just cut around it.”
And in case there was any doubt left about how Janelle feels, she made it very clear in Part 2:
“I just don’t like them.”
