Janelle Brown has dropped a truth bomb. In a new “Sister Wives” one-on-one clip, she offered a shocking theory. Kody Brown might be purposefully taking all the blame.
Why? To make himself appear more “villainous.” This, Janelle suggests, is to protect Robyn Brown from growing criticism.
Kody’s recent aggressive behavior is a clue. His attempts to “rewrite history” are part of this act, Janelle believes. “There’s lots of accusations about Robyn,” Janelle stated. She thinks Kody is trying to redirect the heat.

Many believe Robyn “broke up the family.” They say she never truly wanted plural marriage. These accusations are piling up.
Janelle, however, offered a more complex view. “In the very beginning, Robyn was very much part of” their family’s dream, she admitted.
But Kody has changed. Janelle confessed she has “never seen him be so mean.” She calls his hurtful actions and revisionist stories a “smoke screen.” This screen, she says, is all to protect Robyn.
A YouTube viewer agreed. “Kody tries to deflect the blame off Robyn.” This person added, “The viewers are not stupid, we saw right through her evil manipulation tactics.”
Another fan commented similarly. “Of course Kody will find fault with what was said.” This viewer believes, “He wants the narrative to be Robyn IS innocent, not that he is taking the blame so she can LOOK innocent.”

Fan comments largely back Janelle’s insights. Many believe Kody isn’t just an unwilling pawn, though.
One Reddit user had a theory. “Robyn turned Kody against his family.” This person continued, “He did everything he could to push them away because he came to believe they were the enemy.”
Another Reddit voice was harsher. This user called Robyn a “wicked covert narc who made Kody her flying monkey.”
Many fans emphasized Kody’s own decisions. “Kody kept choosing Robyn over three wives and thirteen children,” a Reddit user pointed out. “He is more to blame.”
Someone else suggested Janelle might be in “denial about Kody’s true colors.” They argued Kody turned “villainous” when his ego wasn’t stroked anymore.
A YouTube observer noted Kody’s harshness isn’t new. “He’s always been mean, self centered and a wanderlust.”
This was supported by a Reddit comment. “I think both things can be true. Kody was always a jerk.” The comment continued, “But he progressed into a darker, more villainous person because of his obsession with Robyn and years of her manipulations.”

Fans are eager for more from the original three wives. “Jenelle is a class act,” one person declared. “I would love a show about Christine, Meri, Jenelle and the kids.”
Another shared this wish. “I would love a show about Christine, Meri, Jenelle and the kids. Robyn can have Kody and her Nannie.”
A different fan praised Janelle’s clear words. “Janelle is such a good speaker. She seems so diplomatic but yet so truthful!”
However, not everyone is on Janelle’s side. A YouTube user felt Janelle was talking “out of both sides of her mouth.” This person also called her “passive aggressive.”
