Sister Wives star Kody Brown seems to be short of money lately and maybe desperate enough to start a new business. The common husband of four seems to have taken a page from another TLC celebrity couple to increase his cash flow.

When the Sister Wives’ husband walked into Meri Brown’s live sales program last week, it looked like he was up to something. At first, viewers thought Kody was rude when he interrupted it. Fans also suggested that Kody was thinking of no one else but himself. But fans wondered if the two were in cahoots.

Because Kody Brown has been talking openly about his money problems this season, Sister Wives viewers know the family is broke. Some believe it’s worse than he reveals. That’s because he still seems to be borrowing money against his property.

To everyone’s surprise, she seemed happy to do it. Meri told her audience to give her a minute before she left to make those copies. Meri Brown shocked the audience, immediately giving in to her husband’s demands.

Most wives would have probably avoided this interruption. But then again, Meri Brown is no ordinary wife. A little conversation could be overheard by the audience watching this pair of sister wives.

It sounded like one of the documents Meri Brown signed was a headline. But we don’t know what the title was for, a house, a car, or even a book.

If the interaction between this duo of Sister Wives wasn’t strange enough, their time on screen included a much more bizarre chat. Kody complained a little about his stress level. He couldn’t sleep and couldn’t calm down, he told Meri Brown. That’s when his original matriarch took a jump on the CDB oil and talked about its calming effect. They put on a few lines that looked promotional, and discussed that it was an herbal supplement.

Kody and his Sister Wives’ finances are in bad shape today – this is by his own admission. Flagstaff’s tax records show that they are delinquents on property taxes, but it’s a modest amount.

But their back taxes fall below $1,000, so it’s not like they’re in the black for thousands of dollars. Leave the fans scratching their heads – why haven’t they paid this little bill? Now the fans think they’ve fallen on hard times with money problems.

So, the shock is not that they have to pay taxes. What stuns the fans is that they owe so little, and yet they haven’t paid it yet. The total bill, which was due in December, is $937.95. This probably adds up to the cost of about a week’s spending for the Sisters Wives tribe.
