90 Day Fiancé: Amira Lollysa and Andrew Kenton Wanted Different Things

If you’re a TLC fan, you’re definitely a 90 Day Fiancé fan. And if you’re a fan of 90 Day Fiancé (and why not? It’s amazing) and all of its problematic stars, then you know how messy long-distance and intercontinental relationships can get.

The series 90 Day Fiancé, which chronicles the struggles of couples from different countries as they try to decide whether or not to get married within the 90 days allotted for K-1 visa recipients, is nothing but a true-life true love’s trials and tribulations.

Like every season of 90 Day Fiancé, Season 8 has seen as much heartache as it has happiness. Coming up, Amira and Andrew. Amira is from France and Andrew is from the United States. They met on the internet and went on to date from afar before finally meeting in person in Las Vegas. Andrew proposed on the spot and Amira Lollysa said yes, reports InTouch Weekly. Sadly, Amira and Andrew Kenton broke up less than a year after getting engaged. What we do know.

90 Day Fiancé: Amira Lollysa and Andrew Kenton Wanted Different Things

Amira and Andrew had been under strain long before they split up. In one of the most dramatic moments of season 8, Amira was detained in Mexico – where she was due to meet Andrew Kenton before going to the US – because of passport problems while Andrew Kenton was relaxing by the pool. Amira returned to France and the relationship was never fully restored.

Matters were further complicated by travel restrictions imposed by many countries in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, which made it difficult for Amira to travel to the United States to be with Andrew Kenton.

Eventually, they broke up when Amira Lollysa refused to board a US-bound plane that would have reunited her with her fiancé. Four days before her visa was due to expire, Amira decided she had had enough. She didn’t board the plane in Serbia, where she was staying, and sent Andrew a terse message saying she wouldn’t be joining him in the US.

The final straw for Amira was that Andrew Kenton decided to “pick a fight” hours before they were due to see each other for the first time in months. “I thought he was the One,” she told cameras, adding that the quarrel revolved around her desire to have children and Andrew’s desire not to, InTouch Weekly reports. “I think that I f**ked up,” Andrew said of Amira’s news. Of course, it seems so.
