90 Day Fiance fans were recently thrilled to hear good news for Jenny Slatten and Sumit Singh from their astrologer. After all, there was nothing stopping the couple from getting married – in fact, it was in the stars. Although obviously excited at the news, Jenny Slatten already knew that behind the scenes Sumit had been holding up the marriage.

In last week’s episode, Sumit Singh and Jenny Slatten visited a lawyer to get their marriage underway. Meanwhile, behind Jenny’s back, Sumit asks the lawyer to stop the preparations. In the upcoming episode of 90 Day Fiancé on Sunday, Sumit tells Jenny that he has put their marriage on hold.

When Sumit Singh tells Jenny Slatten frankly that he has suspended their marriage, Jenny is clearly upset. She asks him, “Why would you do that?”. At the same time, Sumit admits that he is not ready to get married so soon. Fans immediately ask if he is ever ready to marry his American fiancée.

Last week we saw Sumit Singh talking to his friend Neeraj about the situation. He tells her that they now have the green light from both her parents and their astrologer. However, he admits to his friend that he feels nervous about marrying Jenny.

Sumit Singh goes on to explain to his friend that they went to a marriage lawyer who gave them information about the special law on marriage. In fact, they filled out a marriage form. However, that evening, he felt a chill. Sumit told Neeraj that when they had finished meeting, he called the lawyer and asked him to hold back and not to get married.

In the end, Sumit Singh tells Jenny Slatten frankly that he has postponed the marriage proposal. He says: “Actually, there is something I need to tell you.” He paused, then added, “After filing the marriage application, you know I was a bit nervous about it, as he was saying that he gonna [sic] file it on the same day. That’s why I put it on a hold. I asked him to put it on a hold.” Jenny Slatten is clearly upset and asks Sumit Singh: “Without me even knowing, you just called the lawyer and told him to stop it? I mean, why would you do that?” Sumit explains that he was nervous. Jenny Slatten tells the cameras, “We finally get the green light to get married, and then, bam, I’m blindsided,” adding, “I’m hurt that he didn’t tell me. And I’m angry that he did it.”
