OutDaughtered: Danielle Busby and Adam Busby Actually Met At Work

Taking care of six kids is a full-time job, but Danielle Busby and Adam Busby manage to do it while maintaining their careers. Mom Danielle is a housemother for the 8 year old daughter Blayke and the 4 year old quintuplets Ava, Olivia, Hazel, Riley and Parker. But she has also recently started a fitness clothing business with her twin sisters Crystal and Ashely. And daddy Adam also has his hands full with his career.

Adam Busby currently works as a key account manager for Intrinsic Solutions/Sprint Safety, according to his LinkedIn profile. It is a job he has been doing since December 2006. Intrinsic Solutions is a “provider of communication services and specialized short-term communication services”, according to the company’s LinkedIn page. It was acquired by Sprint Safety in 2014.

Busby does not provide further details about his work on his LinkedIn. But a key account manager is typically responsible for managing and maintaining relationships with a company’s most important customers. The key account manager earns an average of $72,440 a year, according to PayScale, although those with more experience earn more. On average, 10 percent of the most experienced key account managers earn more than $120,000 a year.

Some OutDaughtered fans have speculated that Busby gave up his full-time job to focus on his family’s TLC show and their YouTube channel, which currently has more than 800,000 subscribers. But in a tweet last October, he made it clear that “he didn’t quit my job for YouTube,” adding that “it’s just a little thing I do.

OutDaughtered: Danielle Busby and Adam Busby Actually Met At Work

Busby’s love story started right at work. In 2003, they both worked in a Target store. But it wasn’t exactly love at first sight, as Danielle told on the family website It’s a Buzz World. They had been working side by side for months before Adam found the courage to get close to Danielle. At first, Adam’s attempts at flirting failed.

“The first words that came out of his mouth were ‘hey beautiful’. My thoughts at first were… “oh wow! You never talk to me and now you’re trying to hit on me… really smooth,” she wrote.

Despite Adam’s embarrassing opening joke, the two of them started having lunch together. Eventually, Adam asked Danielle out after work – but he dumped her to go out with his friends. Surprisingly, Danielle gave him a second chance, only to discover that the rescheduled date was actually a birthday dinner for his sister. Yet there was something about him that appealed to Danielle and the two of them, and 2½ years later he proposed to him. And the rest is reality TV history.
