Christine Brown Woolley is ready to set the record straight. Sister Wives star is set to release her first solo memoir, Sister Wife: A Memoir of Faith, Family, and Finding Freedom. It will be available on September 2, 2025.

The book takes readers into Christine’s tough journey with polygamy. It shows her struggles in Mormonism and her choice to leave the only life she had known.

For years, Christine Brown played the role of the devoted third wife in the Brown family’s polygamous setup. But behind closed doors, things were far from perfect.

The book’s synopsis states that Christine “always dreamed of a perfect family-lovely kids, a loving husband, and a sisterhood of wives to share him with.” But as Sister Wives filmed, Christine discovered a “darker truth” about polygamy.

That truth ultimately led her to leave Kody, polygamy, and even her church behind in search of the happiness she always deserved.

Sister Wives: Why Christine Left Polygamy Behind for Good

After nearly three decades as Kody Brown’s third wife, Christine Brown made the shocking decision to leave him in November 2021. While many fans saw signs of trouble long before, it wasn’t until Christine herself spoke out that the truth came to light.

During an interview in 2022, Christine admitted that she no longer believed in the polygamous lifestyle.

“Polygamy is not for me anymore,” she confessed. “I want a partnership. I want a guy who actually loves me [and] wants to be with me intimately.”

Her wish came true when she met David Woolley in early 2023. After a whirlwind romance, the two got engaged just two months later and tied the knot in October 2023.

In her new memoir, Christine shows fans her journey. She goes from obedient sister wife to a strong, independent woman who puts herself first.

Sister Wives: Christine Brown Claps Back at Divorce Speculation

Sister Wives: Fans React to Christine Brown’s Book Cover Reveal

Christine Brown’s publisher, Gallery Books, announced her book and revealed the cover. Sister Wives fans had plenty to say about it.

In the cover image, Christine looks confident and composed, seated in a powerful stance. She wears a bold red blazer and matching lipstick. This look shows her strength and independence. It’s a big change from the woman fans saw in Season 1 of Sister Wives.

But while many fans loved the cover, some are skeptical about how much Christine will really reveal in her book.

“There will be no tea spilled in this book… it’ll be one big fluff piece like Jill Duggar’s book,” one fan speculated.

Another added, “I’m stoked about this book. I’ve been dying to learn more about their experience with the AUB and their deconstruction. I think that’s one of the things she’s going to cover in this book.”

Some think Christine will keep the juiciest details to herself. Others are hopeful she will share more about her life in polygamy. They especially want to hear about her time with the Apostolic United Brethren (AUB), the fundamentalist Mormon group the Brown family followed.

Sister Wives: Could Other Sister Wives Follow Christine’s Lead?

Christine Brown isn’t the only one with a story to tell.

Rumors are swirling that Meri Brown is working on her own memoir, and some fans believe Janelle Brown might write a book as well.

Now that three of Kody’s ex-wives are independent, they share their views on what happened behind closed doors. Fans are excited to hear more.

For now, Christine’s book is the first to take readers inside the Sister Wives world from her own point of view. But if this memoir is a success, could it open the floodgates for more tell-alls from the Brown family?

Only time will tell.

What do you think? Will Christine’s book be a tell-all, or just a safe retelling of what we already know? Drop your thoughts in the comments!
