Sister Wives star Christine Brown is thriving after leaving Kody Brown. But, she isn’t done with the drama.

In a candid interview with Entertainment Tonight, Christine shared her views on Kody’s failing plural marriage. Three years after making the bold decision to leave, she’s still floored by the off-handed comments Kody continues to make.

In true Christine fashion, she didn’t hold back. When asked about how Kody is handling his new reality – having just one wife left—she made a sly dig. “I wonder if it is just so hard that he just had three wives leave him in three years,” Christine quipped.

Searching for the right word, she added, “That’s gotta be… heartbreaking and sad. Even if he says he didn’t love us.” Her voice dripped with sarcasm, echoing Kody’s own words about the divorces.

While Christine remains amused by Kody’s situation, she’s also bewildered by his behavior. “He said if the wives aren’t ‘adorable,’ he can’t adore them,” she recalled, rolling her eyes at the superficial comment.

She also slammed Kody’s attitude of treating wives like they could be “shelved” until he needed them. “That’s no way to live,” Christine said, relieved she got out. She’s grateful Meri and Janelle had the courage to leave, too.

Sister Wives: No Love Lost for Robyn and Kody

Christine Brown doesn’t mince words when it comes to Robyn Brown, either. The former sister wives have a strained relationship, to put it mildly.

Christine doesn’t trust Robyn and has no desire to “repair” things. She admitted she’s amused when Meri stands up to Kody but has no plans to be friends with her again.

She made it clear that she’s ready to leave the past behind. “I don’t ‘stand’ with Kody,” Christine declared, but she does wish him and Robyn well. “They’re soul mates,” she conceded. “They should fully embrace monogamy.” Christine is happy with her own new chapter, having found love with David Woolley.

When the interviewer mentioned how wild it was for three wives to leave Kody after nearly three decades, Christine agreed.

She added that in their religion, losing even one wife is a bad sign, but losing three in quick succession is a major red flag. “It’s a ‘midlife crisis,’” she joked, noting that Kody’s desire for a monogamous life with Robyn likely played a big part.

Sister Wives: The Unimaginable Pain of Losing Garrison Brown

But the most emotional part of the interview was when Christine Brown addressed a different kind of heartbreak: the tragic death of Janelle Brown’s son, Garrison. The 25-year-old passed away in March 2024, and Christine said the loss has left a permanent scar on the family.

“It’s never gonna go away,” Christine said, her voice heavy with grief. “There’s always gonna be a Garrison-sized hole. It’s hard.”

She described trying to cope with the loss, often filling the void with “tears.” For Christine, the pain is “the most difficult thing ever.”

In an effort to keep Garrison’s memory alive, Christine posted a heartfelt tribute on Instagram. “I made Garrison’s favorite breakfast today (tinted green, obviously),” she shared, referencing a cherished family tradition.

“It’s such a difficult balance embracing life and daily routines like celebrating holidays and working while grieving.” She’s determined to honor Garrison’s memory in everyday ways, even as the family struggles to find normalcy.

Sister Wives: Kody’s Strained Family Ties

Kody Brown’s troubled relationships with his kids haven’t improved much. Christine is all too aware.

While she wishes he would invest more time in their kids, she’s teaching them to appreciate whatever effort he does make. “Even if he doesn’t give much ‘advanced notice,’” she said, “I tell them to clear their schedules.”

Despite her frustrations, Christine tries to help her children accept Kody as he is. “They’ve learned to appreciate that he makes some effort, even if it isn’t a lot,” she admitted.

It’s a delicate balance between acknowledging his shortcomings and encouraging a relationship.

Christine’s life has changed drastically since leaving Kody, but her spirit remains strong. She’s chosen to embrace freedom, even as she mourns unimaginable losses.
