Kody Brown has finally resolved the long-running Coyote Pass property feud with ex-wives Janelle and Meri. It’s the big Sister Wives twist fans have been eager for! And yes, it took legal threats and on-air arguments to get there.
According to court documents dated March 26, two of the four Coyote Pass parcels are now officially in the names of Kody, Robyn, Janelle, and Meri. Each party has a stake, but it’s far from equal. “Kody Winn Brown and Robyn Alice Brown… as to an undivided 50% interest,” the paperwork reads. Meanwhile, Janelle and Meri each now own 25%.
It’s a win for Janelle and Meri, who spent months on Sister Wives voicing their frustrations. “Meri and I don’t know what’s going on. So of course we’re frustrated,” Janelle said on the show. “There is no communication, nothing.”
But the tension didn’t stop there. Kody also confirmed what many fans suspected: the dream of building on Coyote Pass is officially dead.

What started as a vision of unity has ended in a split that left everyone angry and disappointed. Kody had originally purchased the $820,000 land in 2018 with plans to build five homes for each wife-and one for himself. But after the collapse of three of his marriages, the dream turned into a nightmare.
“It’s come to the point where the family is not going to live here,” Kody confessed. “Robyn was the last to give up on the dream. But she’s finally consented, ‘Yeah let’s go ahead and sell.’”
Still, the drama wasn’t just emotional-it got financial. Janelle reportedly asked Kody to buy her out. His response? “How? I don’t have that kind of money.” He then claimed, “I paid for the entire lot myself. When I sell, I’m going to divide the money four ways. My wife, me and the two exes.”
But Meri and Janelle weren’t so trusting. Janelle even considered getting a lawyer. “They’re worried whether I’m going to be fair or not, because divorce takes away the trust,” Kody admitted. “But I will.”

Sister Wives: Robyn Brown’s Power Move? Fans Question Her Stake in All Parcels
While the land is now split, fans couldn’t help but notice something strange-Robyn still seems to hold the strongest position. Not only does she own half of the main parcels with Kody, but she also remains co-owner on a separate parcel that the other wives no longer have any claim to.
The final parcel remains solely in Kody and Robyn’s names. “Why does Robyn get a share in the whole land?” one fan asked online. Another joked, “Robyn owns Kody 😂.”
And the timing didn’t go unnoticed either. While all other signatures were completed in January, Robyn didn’t sign until March 26-nearly two months later. Was she stalling? Negotiating? Or just reluctant to let go?
Sister Wives: Christine Brown Walked Away First-And Cheapest
Before the other wives made their moves, Christine Brown Woolley was the first to break free. She sold her parcel of land to Kody and Robyn in July 2022-for just $10. She relocated to Utah with daughter Truely and has since remarried, leaving the past behind with stunning speed.
Christine has been open about her unhappiness, often pointing out that Kody spent the majority of his time at Robyn’s house. Her departure triggered the unraveling of the family’s already fragile dynamic.
Now, Janelle and Meri have followed suit. They may not have escaped with a new husband, but they’ve secured their share of the land-and possibly, a fresh start.

Janelle and Mari are still getting ripped off. Sobyn Robyn was the lazy one who took much more than she ever contributed. The Nanny that gave them covid was paid for by the other 3 ladies because Robyn and her adult kids who lived there are as lazy as their mother and did nothing to help. They paid for the first mansion Kody and Robyn bought and supported Robyns kids. Kody is a conniving snake in the grass and lazy Robyn is a vulture who was looking to feed off of the other 3 ladies. I guess Meri and Janelle just took a loss to get away from these two thieves and want to get on with their lives putting Kody and Robyn in the trash can where they belong. Kody and Sobyn Robyn should be ashamed of themselves and never show their faces in public again. I bet they are already eyeing up more women they can victimize and steal their money. Two sickening people that other ladies should stay far far away from.
