After four seasons, an original and one of Real Housewives of Dallas’ best-known cast members, LeeAnne Locken, will not return. He’s had a tough fourth season to deal with accusations of racism and wants to return to philanthropy. While it’s unclear what her next steps after the show will be, Real Housewives of Potomac star Monique Samuels says she “cheers” for Locken.
RHOP: LeeAnne Locken is leaving ‘The Real Housewives of Potomac ’ after four seasons
In April 2016, philanthropist and former beauty contest beauty LeeAnne Locken made her debut as an original housewife on Real Housewives of Dallas. During her time on the show, Locken clashed with almost every other housewife.
For example, she and Brandi Redmond couldn’t stand each other in season one, she spread gay rumors about Cary Deuber’s husband, Mark, in season two, and more recently made derogatory comments about Kary Brittingham’s Mexican heritage.
Although she is portrayed as the common enemy and a villain of the show, many fans have sympathized with Locken’s less than ideal childhood and enjoyed watching her relationship with her husband, Rich Emberlin. In a statement to People, Locken said he “made a personal decision to move away from RHOD”.
He admitted that last season was “very challenging for me” and is looking forward to “getting away from the cameras and spending quality time with my husband and friends. Also, Locken is eager to get back to philanthropy, “which was my main reason for joining the show.
