Season 5 Of ‘Welcome To Plathville’ Could Focus More On Kim Plath.

“Season 4 of Welcome to Plathville is somehow even more dramatic than the previous three seasons. And given the new developments in the family and the big changes, we have to ask: will there be a season 5 of Welcome to Plathville? That’s the question on most fans’ minds right now as the season approaches its finale. And frankly, there’s so much going on right now that TLC just can’t hang us.

To date, TLC has not announced an official renewal of Welcome to Plathville. But, like Small People, Big World, it’s one of those TLC big-family reality series that viewers can’t quite stay away from.

And given that the fourth season is full of drama and new developments in the Plath family, it would be surprising if it didn’t come back for a fifth season so viewers can find out what else is going on by then.

Nor has the broadcaster announced the cancellation of the series, which bodes well for the series. A fourth season was even announced as late as March 2022, two months before the premiere. So if a fifth season of Welcome to Plathville is in the works, an official announcement from TLC may not come until spring 2023.

The fourth season so far has been about Micah Plath’s journey in Los Angeles, where he works on his modelling and acting career and makes friends, Olivia and Ethan Plath’s marital struggles and Moriah Plath’s music career. There will also be a closer look at the Plaths’ home in Georgia, where Lydia Plath is helping to care for younger siblings still at home, and Kim Plath and Barry Plath are dealing with their marital problems.

And with Kim Plath and Barry Plath revealing their divorce plans off-screen, Season 5 may focus even more attention on them. Kim has expressed a need for something more than marriage to Barry, and Season 5 of Welcome to Plathville could see her exploring her new life even more, in her own home, as she runs a dance studio and co-parents the younger children with Barry after their divorce is finalised.
