The Sister Wives financial drama peaked on the November 24 episode. Janelle Brown, 55, exposed how Kody Brown misrepresented her in the family’s money troubles. After years of being painted as the “bad guy,” Janelle didn’t hold back as she recounted her version of events to Christine Brown.
“She basically implied that she was so surprised, like, somehow, she thought I’d been controlling the money,” Janelle said of Meri Brown. “I’m like, ‘Dude, man, if I controlled the money we would have paid off, built a house.’”
Christine backed her up. If Janelle had been in charge of the finances, their situation would be better.
Janelle Brown went further, claiming that all she did was record expenses and send the information to the accountant. Meanwhile, Kody was allegedly guiding the flow of money, a claim he partially admitted in his own confessional: “I sort of guided where the money went. We all had access to the account. Listen, we were a family working together and we did the best we could.”
However, Janelle and Christine revealed a different reality. Kody had the final say in where the money went. He spent freely while his wives had to ask for what they needed.
ooo, i’m loving the new background set up in the preview and Meri and Janelle uniting in their fight to get their money back from Kody and Robyn, this show has never been more exciting now that they are all divorced 😂 #Sisterwives pic.twitter.com/LvSMZPOH32

Sister Wives: Janelle Says Kody Weaponized Her Financial Values
Janelle Brown accused Kody Brown of using her sense of duty to deflect blame for the family’s financial problems.
“This is Kody’s MO,” Janelle said. “He tends to attack somebody in an area that’s important to them.” She cited his past comments about Christine, including his notorious claim about not being “sexually attracted” to her.
For Janelle Brown, financial security has always been her top priority, making Kody’s accusations all the more infuriating. “He’s trying to pin everything on me,” she vented. “It makes me so mad because I didn’t know it. He was doing it behind my back. He kept telling everybody these stories and I’m like, ‘F—ing hell.’”
Janelle, frustrated, stressed she only tried to protect the family’s investments, especially the controversial Coyote Pass property. She even offered to let Kody buy her out so she could move on, but doubts linger over whether he’ll follow through.
