Janelle Brown and her kids marked their first Thanksgiving without Garrison Brown, who died earlier this year. It’s been eight months since Garrison’s death. The Sister Wives star and her family still feel his absence, especially during the holidays.
Janelle posted a touching Instagram story. It showed how the family honored Garrison at Thanksgiving. In the photo, she holds a framed picture of Garrison holding Maddie Brush’s children, Axel and Evie.
“First of the ‘big’ holidays without you, sweetheart,” Janelle captioned the post. “We all gathered in NC to celebrate together and kept your photo close by. We laughed about your silly sense of humor and told so many stories honoring you.”
She added, “We ate, played games, and enjoyed each other’s company. Everyone is returning home now, but I feel you close by.”
Sister Wives Fans Rally Around Janelle
Fans of Sister Wives, who have watched Janelle Brown share her family’s journey for over a decade, poured out their love and support in the comments. Many shared their own stories of loss, resonating with Janelle’s pain.
“I lost my son too, and holidays are the hardest. Praying for you and your family,” one fan wrote.
Another added, “What a beautiful way to honor Garrison’s memory. He will always be with you.”
While the Browns are spread across the country, they made it a priority to be together for Thanksgiving. However, Garrison’s absence was deeply felt as they navigated this bittersweet season.
Sister Wives: Janelle and Kody’s Coyote Pass Showdown
As Janelle Brown navigates her grief, she’s also embroiled in a tense battle with her ex, Kody Brown, over the division of the family’s Coyote Pass property. In the latest Sister Wives episode, Meri Brown revealed that Janelle had warned her about protecting her share of the property.
Janelle explained her caution, saying, “He’s been kind of an a- about the property, so he might be an a- about it as we move forward.”
Kody Brown didn’t hold back in his confessional, admitting, “She doesn’t trust me because she would screw me if she could. That’s what I believe. And I’ll be honest, I’ve thought about screwing her.” He went on to credit his current wife, Robyn, for stopping him, adding, “My wife with a conscience won’t let me.”
Sister Wives: Janelle Considers Legal Action
Janelle Brown has made it clear that she’s willing to take legal action to secure her rightful share of the property. “If Kody’s not willing to buy me out, then I’m going to have to do something with it,” she said. “I think I’m going to have to lawyer up because that’s the only way I’m ever going to get any kind of decision out of him.”
Her frustration with Kody isn’t just about the property but also his absence from their children’s lives. Janelle pointedly stated, “Kody is alienated from 90 to 95 percent of his children. He is not really wanted at events.”
