Meri Brown recently addressed questions about Robyn Brown in a real-time interview ahead of the new season of Sister Wives. During the podcast “Miss Understood with Rachel,” Meri mentioned that she is just “cordial” with her ex-co-wives, including Robyn. This marks a significant shift from her previous statements where she called Robyn her best friend.
When asked about Robyn joining the family, Meri said Robyn didn’t know about the TLC show when she agreed to marry Kody Brown.
However, this contradicts Robyn’s account in the book the Brown family wrote together. Robyn had stated that Kody mentioned the show when they started dating, and she thought it was just wishful thinking on his part.
Meri tried to ease Robyn’s entry into the family. Some saw this as her move to protect Robyn’s image from criticism. Robyn joined the family in financial trouble. This led to claims, notably by Kody’s son Paedon, that she married for money.
Sister Wives: Meri Brown on Janelle and Kody’s Relationship After Garrison’s Death
In a recent podcast appearance, Meri Brown opened up about how the Brown family is handling the aftermath of Garrison Brown’s death. Garrison, the son of Janelle and Kody Brown, tragically died by suicide earlier this year.
Meri shared that while she is not as close to her former sister wives as she once was, she maintains cordial conversations when she sees them. She emphasized that she is focused on personal growth and prefers to surround herself with encouraging people.
Janelle and Christine Brown have a strong bond that Meri supports. Before, the three weren’t as close. Meri wasn’t invited to Christine’s wedding to David Woolley. Still, she expressed happiness about their relationship.
Meri Brown also spoke about her acceptance of the family’s split and her readiness to move forward. She mentioned her plans to date. She aims for a monogamous relationship. But, she prefers to meet someone naturally. This is due to her past catfishing scandal.
