Welcome To Plathville: Are Ethan Plath And Olivia Plath Still Married?

There are a few things the Plath family of Welcome to Plathville doesn’t agree with. Like public school and sugar, for starters. But when it comes to relationships, divorce is probably also out of the question.

So when Ethan and Olivia Plath’s marriage hit a few snags, it led some fans to wonder where they are now. The Plaths are similar to the Duggars of 19 Kids and Counting and Counting On in that they are a large family living by their own rules and religious beliefs. Ethan was one of the first to break the mold and although he seems less eager to be considered a rebel, that is how he appears in the grand scheme of things. Perhaps divorce is not a total no-no for him in particular.

Welcome To Plathville: Are Ethan Plath And Olivia Plath Still Married?

One of the biggest problems in Olivia Plath and Ethan Plath’s marriage is his family. During the first season of Welcome to Plathville, Ethan’s parents became increasingly wary of the influence Ethan and Olivia could have on their other children if they spent time with the couple without supervision. This led to more problems with Olivia’s relationship with Ethan’s mother, Kim Plath.

In the end, the season 2 finale saw Ethan and Olivia cut off contact with Kim and Barry. They made the decision to focus on their marriage rather than trying to change Kim and Barry’s behavior.

Now that season 3 of the show is underway, audiences have seen a little more of Ethan and Olivia Plath’s relationship. While things seemed to have improved at the end of season 2, they certainly took a turn as season 3 progressed. Olivia expressed an interest in moving to Tallahassee, Florida to live in a less rural environment, while Ethan is not convinced that moving is the right decision.

During the first few episodes of the season, Olivia could be seen packing for a move and checking out places to rent in Florida, while Ethan seemed to want to stay in Georgia. While their on-camera disagreements often centered around whether they should move from Cairo, Ga. (where Ethan has spent his entire life up to this point), it became clear that there were deeper issues that needed to be addressed in order for the two to move forward in their marriage.

Although Olivia Plath left the house where she and Ethan lived together, she did not move far away. She chose to stay somewhere close because, according to her, she still wants to make her relationship with Ethan work. Of course, season 3 was filmed a while ago, so people want to know where Ethan and Olivia stand now.
