1000-lb Sisters: Tammy Slaton And Amy Slaton’s Opposing Weight-loss Journeys

The 1000-lb Sisters were brought to us after the success of the original TLC weight-loss journey show My 600-lb Life. With the third season currently airing, fans are already anticipating the next season of 1000-lb Sisters. The story of sisters Tammy and Amy Slaton became so popular that TLC made them a spinoff in 2019 that was a hit.

The show shows the two sisters trying to turn their lives around and achieve their weight loss goals. Over the past three seasons, fans have seen them deal with many issues.

Unfortunately, TLC has yet to release an exact date for the debut of Season 4. Some fans think this could be because Season 3 is currently airing. However, most public speculation seems to be that Season 3 could be the last season of the sisters that we will get. If you’ve been watching the show, you’ll know that over the past three seasons, Tammy Slaton and Amy Slaton have had very opposite journeys with their weight and audiences are wondering if the show will even have a storyline for Season 4.

Because of Tammy Slaton’s continued downward spiral of not losing weight and getting more health conditions along the way, audiences are concerned that there won’t be anything to document for TLC.

However, this isn’t the only speculation as to why she won’t be returning, many fans of the show admitted during the last season that they are starting to get “bored” with the show’s slow storyline.

1000-lb Sisters: Tammy Slaton And Amy Slaton’s Opposing Weight-loss Journeys

The last three seasons have shown quite a contrast between the sisters. Amy Slaton has made incredible progress, not only with her weight loss, but with her life. According to Showbiz Cheat Sheet, the 34-year-old has already reached her goal weight and is now the mother of an adorable baby boy, Gage.

The fact that Amy Slaton has reached her goal weight has also added to the speculations as to why season 4 might not return. Amy Slaton’s weight loss journey is complete and while fans couldn’t be happier for her, it’s also pretty sad to see her potentially go.

Her sister’s last three seasons, however, have not been the same. Tammy has continually put on weight over the course of the series and, in fact, has only gained weight since it began in 2019.

According to Screen Rant as well, last year doctors found a blood clot in Tammy’s lungs and she was put on life support. Although she almost didn’t make it, this health scare didn’t seem to spur Tammy into action, as she continued to gain weight soon after.
