David Murphey had one of the most disgraceful storylines on this past season of 90 Day Fiancé. He was in love with a Ukrainian woman named Lana whom he had never met, even though he had gone to Ukraine several times before. In the strangest turn of events, Lana turned out to be real and the two got engaged. But where are they now?
David had been dating online for over a decade before he met Lana. In fact, by the time he started reporting on his blonde beauty, he had already completely given up on American women.
“I stopped dating in the U.S. 15 years ago,” he wrote in an Instagram Q&A. “Every time I did that, I started thinking about Ukraine, so I stopped trying, so my heart was free in case I went to Ukraine. I’ve dated over 100 women in Ukraine. I’ve turned down a lot of marriage proposals and I’ve been turned down twice myself.

On his last attempt to meet Lana in Ukraine, she actually showed up. The two of them spent a couple of days together and at the end of his trip he proposed. Lana accepted it, but because of the whole special it seemed that the engagement might not take place.
“Right now, I’d say we’re not together,” David said at the reunion. “I’m not going to say we won’t be together in the future. She’s under too much stress with what’s going on with the show. And the people bothering her. I told her it’s partly your fault, you can get off.”
